I'm going out to Australia in November to watch some of England Ashes Tour.  But having read this topic I'm now looking forward to being in BKK 30 October for the even bigger event.  aus2045, you have a great time ahead of you, under you, over you,etc.   Behind you - well maybe your second visit!

And you will be better prepared than I was as a newbie a year ago.  I have made most of the mistakes that I've since read about on Asian TS Forums, and still buying too many drinks, overpaying on ST, and imagining that it's anything else but bucks that count with the LBs.

In doing so, I've enjoyed some great nights out/in, met some fun LBs, and have put down to 'experience' my spending in BKK.  And I'm addicted!
