  • Spammers...

I get about 100 a day and they all get automatically hidden away and eventually deleted!

So why do these idiots even bother?

Even clicking the 'Send' button is a waste of time and energy!

Still - I keep getting them and it brightens me up when I see how much rubbish I don't read because they are too stupid to even spam me properly!

    Thanks GMail!

they dont use the send button, they use ie a neat program called sendmail, and call it from (shell)script .. if one out of one million is stupid enough to open of these mails, and get virus or get scammed, its a success. my guess is, this kind of mail-bombing will cease to exist, right now we are entering the "new world" (internet, cellphone ..) and its a marked for this -> so many user and so many with less knowledge .. about when we are wormfood things will change .. damn, think about what surgery and science can do the lbs in 50yrs or so ...

Guess they thought you'd be interested in the chubby dark haired tranny in latex?

Think Candy is a better choice!

Gmail has an excellent Spam filter IMO.

Talking about Gmail/Google it turns out President Bush uses "the" Google.

Maria Bartiromo Wall Street Journal: I'm curious, have you ever googled anybody? Do you use Google?

Bush: Occasionally. One of the things I've used on
the Google is to pull up maps. It's very interesting to see €” I've forgot the name of the program €” but you get the satellite, and you can €” like, I kinda like to look at the ranch. It remind me of where I wanna be sometimes.

Plain and simple... Spam does sell...

I was one of the most notorious Spammers back in the 1990's and was on Usenet most wanted list... they were really looking for me or who ever it was Spamming porn sites in off topic women related groups. This was how I got started in the on-line biz... we had a network of NT servers back then setup in Universities and were untraceable the way we did it... LOL!

Here's a real Spam ad I posted to 100's of News Groups back in around 1996-1998... I was making $200 a day when I started with a little porn site...  I then quit my 'normal' day job and never looked back!

yea, the sad fact is spam does sell. And the more anti-spammers block, the more the spammers raise the volume. Which means that if you have no spam protection, you get flooded

I run my own mailserver, and I get over 1,000,000 pieces of spam a day. Obviously I block it and kill off 99.95% and that still leaves me with 500/day.

Bam your the man! It's a straight numbers game, and the more people go online especially with broadband the more clueless there are to hit. In my old computer support job there were countless "not so" stupid people that clicked Yes to the link which as good as said, "can I install this Virus/Trojan/Spam list on this machine. Yes/No". Why would they not, what possible harm would clicking on "yes" do?

Who ever has time to read what they click?
