This has made me wonder as well and I suppose the obvious thing is language but the other thing would be that this forum is mainly for contact with working girls. Whereas I imagine Thai males would be able to meet all the non working girls socially.

Hmm, methinks that someone is formulating a conspiracy theory without much evidence!

Actually hormones are cheap in Thailand. A pack of Diane 35 costs around 135 Baht. There are also generic birth control pills that are available for around 50 Baht. Most lbs will start on these to begin the feminization process in their teen years, some as early as 12 others around 16 - 18. By the way in the pharmacies MOST drugs are available without prescription - not just hormones. Kind of like Mexico.

As for who pays? Many of the Isaan lbs I have spoken with told me they would save up their lunch money and buy hormones. Not as glamourous as the sex industry feminizing poor rural Thai boys, but probably closer to the truth. You must also remember the majority of the sex industry is driven by ggs, so why would they pay extra to get lb sex workers who are a small percentage of the industry?

Can't remember exactly but it was for sure more expensive than the Diane (and most of the Thais I know take Premarin, but anyway).
Taking unprescripted hormones is of course they same lunacy that allows surgeons to cut of a kids dick, just like that! Just to further digress from the original topic and respectfully disagree - well, only partially. Yes, the "3rd world" countries have a "I don't care" attitude, but this attitude might just coincidently foster the majority of government policies being "hands off". And may I argue that's one of the major component of freedom and growth. The very fact we are all coming here to have the best time of our life proves this. Maybe the Thai people do not really have a genuine respect for transexuality but their "I don't care" attitude is good enough for me. Maybe they do not have FDA or their version of FDA is really not so "effective", but that's why I can decide for my self to have a TomYun goon from a street vendor at 1/10 of US price.
