The Jam were more "mods" than punks but still a brilliant band

I'm a big Nick Cave fan so you it's got to be The Birthday Party.

Been enjoying some John Cooper Clarke of late.

            Cheers

Don't forget  X-ray Spex with the lucious Poly Styrene   Allways thought that is a brilliant name

And my favourites  -  The Stranglers

              RR.

Me too. A brilliant band. I have everything from them!

Hey, RR... Did you like Norfolk Coast? One of there best ion years I'd say...

                  Also liked The Jam. XTC...

When I was at school went to see Sham69, XTC, 999, The Alarm, The Clash and a few others...

The Stranglers were the best, though...

                  Go, buddy, GO!

                      Ahh Sid Vicious,

The only person I have ever seen being interviewed on the BBC news bombed out of his mind on exotic substances

Just after he was 'alleged' to have killed his girlfriend Nancy Spungen.

Sid was so out of it I'm not even sure that he understood that she was dead

All through the interview his mum was sitting beside him patting his hand and saying what a nice boy he was

Norfolk Coast?  Not heard that one Stogie  -  I'll search it out - Thanks

Good thread, Black flag, MC5 were some of my fave punk groups, although im more of a heavy metal fan punk certainly influenced the wild and hardcore style that slayer and napalm death brought to heavy metal.
