Ok, just a few days away from the opening matches in the West Indies and actually am feeling good that England may make it to the semis.

We have NZ, Canada and Kenya in our group,

It was reported on the sporttab site that a $50,000.00 us bet was placed on Canada at 33/1 to run second in their group.
I didn't relize Canada even played cricket.
Thats one hell of a bet. Other then England it is a weak group. New Zealand got belted by Bangeldesh the other day and they really only have 2 world class bowlers. With the low and slow pitches of the West Indies their fast bowler Shane Bond is likely to be belted all around the place.
Obviously some one knows something or has more money then sense.
I have had bets on Sri Lanka and India. Australia may make the final but I am doubtfull.
We are a false favourite and at 3/1  i would rather bet on World peace then the

It's going to be interesting to see how the pitches play, good bets on India and Sri Lanka.

Warm up game tonight, Australia Vs England, Pietersen has already been mouthing off.

Hopefully we can get some form under the belt.

Hmmmm, it would be great to see Bermuda play the Zims in the final, especially if the lively Vermeulen throws his toys out of the cot like he did in Lancs last season.

Seriously, never write the Aussies off, but they are struggling in the bowling department. India are looking very good but can easily go off the boil on the faster, bouncier wickets. Pakistan might take too much of a liking to the local ganga and New Zealand might not handle the Cockspur rum too well.

England are very mercurial, but have one day talent, the hosts have the reason to do well but are still limited. The Saffas have much to prove but may be the ones.

Ultimately, I would take India and Australia in the final, with England and South Africa in the top four.  

Its only a Guess, but that would be a great Bar to watch it from!!!

All the Aussie bowlers played well with Tait, Clarke and Hogg all looking dangerous.
The England middle order once again crumbled and to be honest the Australian bowlers are not the best we have had for a decade and they were made to look like World beaters on a slow and dry pitch.

Sri Lanka are an outside bet, but it could still be close between India and Aussies. I still hope the Guess Bar can have it on the plasma, in between ST.    

How good would it be to see the mighty Bermudan behemoth, Dwayne Leverock, be man of the series. I think it would lead to world peace

The sportsmen we are, its good to see the England team give the aussies some catching practice, it just would not be cricket if we had decided not to lose any wickets

I still think India or Sri Lanka once things wind up are serious threats.
On form you would have to doubt England, New Zealand and the West Indies.
Pakistan played well yesterday with out there "injured"superstars but more then likely will crack under the pressure .

To me and i am looking at it pruely from a betting angel, Australia and South Africa are over rated and well under priced.

11/1 where did you get that price. On Australian sports sites I have seen 33/1 as late as yesterday afternoon. 33/1 is still under the odds in this class of touny for a side who is ranked 7. Good luck KL
