  • Scientology Program, BBC tonight

John Sweeney has a program on the Beeb tonight about Scientology.

If anyone here has the capability to record it, TIVO, DVR, VCR, or whatever, and post it on piratebay.org I would surely appreciate it.

I'll help seed once I get it.

Just out of curiousity; anyone here have anything positive to say in favor of Scientology, or want to defend it?

(Hey Stogie, I bet I already know your opinion, haha. So, when I come to LOS, you and me are going to church on Sunday morning right?)

I did just come across this website  Digg.com  and the comments on it make me think I should have gone for my plan of starting up my own religion

Hey this bunch are more crazy than I thought

From Wikipedia: "In Scientology doctrine, Xenu......brought billions of aliens to Earth in DC-8-like spacecraft"
Good thing it wasn't a DC10 like spacecraft - otherwise maybe the cargo door would have fallen off

                    It's a good documentary...

This well funded cult is very creepy. They believe in space men and all kinds of weird stuff. If you have an IQ of 50 and some extra money then I'd recommend it! It's an all too familiar thing for Americans who have loads of these kinds of things competing for their money and support.

There are similarities between these 'Moonies' style cults and established religeons... They all believe in unprovable hobgoblins and bizarre theories about the creation of our planet. Like the Muslims, they want you destroyed if you are a 'heretic' or an unbeliever.

It's a shame that we live in a time where we are technologically so advanced but yet spiritually the same as we were 2,000 years ago. The world is full of mindless dumb asses and these cults prey on these people.

Still - they are always good for a laugh screaming their child like dreams outside Big Dogs as the hookers ease past them on their way to work!

I watched the Panorama programme and it seems to me that with all those high profile members, it is becoming quite fashionable in Hollywood to be a member of this ''cult''.....Must not say that word

Does my head in this kind of crap, how and why can people actually believe this kind of rubbish and same goes for any religion.

The vastness of the universe as shown by hubble makes you 100% sure that our solar system is a mere grain of sand in the universe, the fact that life developed here is down to conditions and position of the planet.

                        Religion, just say NO!!

Stogie, thanks for telling me about that UKNova site. I can't seem to get on the signup page though. I'll try again later.  If anyone here could repost it on PB I'd appreciate it.

As to the hollywood types, I've heard that the Scientologists spend a considerable PR effort on Hollywood celebrities, building special celebrity centers and not charging the celebrities the same as all the rank and file.

In other words, the celebrities have no idea what the rank and file people experience, as far as they know, it's all great and wonderful.

I have read that Tom Cruise is making a Scientology movie called "The Thetan Bride" to star Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) as the said bride. Don't know how much of that is true. Could get interesting.

Victoria Beckham     Why don't they call it the Bride of Frankenstein?   -   oh no that's been done before.

Personally I think she's as ugly as f#@k  -  and acting             and posh?

                            Hello Grunyen,

Tried to register myself on the site after Stogies post.  I guess I'm getting the same message as you about website problems.
