  • Cold red wine...

I've just started on this red wine thing after a 20 year lay off!

I used to drink it because it was posh and looked cool and now I've taken to the grape once more because I actually like the taste!

It's gosh darn expensive here in Thailand so when I crack a bottle I keep the remainder in the fridge... now I find I actually prefer refridgerated red wine!

Am I a total bastard? Will the tannins extend my life for 50 years? Can I get a guest spot on 'The Banana Splits Show'? But most of all - will KL kill me in my sleep this summer?

Not a big wine drinker myself but I love the odd glass of Red wine

Believe it should be served at room temperature, so I dont think KL will be too amused, so watch your back

Why dont you just buy one of those 3litre vacum packed boxes - they keep fresh for weeks once opened and they dont need refrigerating (not that one has ever lasted me that long) - they sell them in foodland/carrefour for about 900baht for a decent red bit of plonk. Very drinkable.

Dont worry about that - Just tell KL its not wine, the label is in English - its fruit juice and then quickly change the subject by asking what wine he bought over for you to try together........

Otherwise you could always keep it in the washing machine - KL aint going to be looking there, but just make sure Cindy removes it before washing your boxers, unless she likes wine flavoured boxers

          Cheers

some lighter red wines, such as beaujolais are actually better chilled, not cold but about 10C.

Better quality reds really do need to be at room temp, but remember room temp was before central heating so should be about 16-18c.
seriously pig headed, arrogant, double standard smart ass poster!

Let see what was room temp. in a old musty castle. I donot think I want to drink any wine at the room temps you find in Thailand. I think a good temp for red wine is around 50f are so.
Have attended a few wine tastings and the story is the same drink it the way you like it forget the wine heads.
