I'm on broadband but I've gone over my download limit at the moment and have been speed limited.  I remember why I hate dial-up so much.
I don't get it, is this a magic show?

It takes too long for the poll to show up, but count me in for dialup.
Retired the top 12.  Need a new dirty dozen.

Update: The new list is coming together: Nong Poy, Anita, Nok, Gif, Liisa Winkler, Kay, Nina Poon.  Is it possible to find 5 more?  Until then, GGs:  Jessica Alba, Yuko Ogura, Zhang Ziyi, Maggie Q, and Gong Li.

Why would you have dialup these days? Not sure about other places but broadband is very cheap for the most basic of packages in Australia.

          I have a satellite link

Well I do at work  -  couldn't afford to pay for one at home.
It's roughly halfway in speed between dial-up and a 1Mb broadband link.

I have a fast broadband link at home and the difference is very, very noticable.

How do I answer I pay for a premium broadband service and between rainstorms, some guy knicking my copper phone line and just an indifferent tel com company, I sometimes vary between dial up speed and full blown 512 speed???

Frustrating is not the word that springs to mind for me at least

            Cheers

same in UK, no reason not to have broadband these days.

I live lower Sukhumvit and have True broadband and I have found it to be pretty reliable so far.

In the centre of Bangkok I use True and its fine, but I also have another house which is more in the country - its that one that is very indifferent where service fluctuates wildy depending on the rain, if the local thief needs to eat (by stealing my cable and selling it for scrap ) etc.

I think if you stick with True, you would get a good service, TOT and TT&T are not as reliable from what I have seen.

                      Cheers

I think ADSL..it's that the right name?
It works at 10.0 Mbps, that's what written, no idea what that means in practice
Do only what you think it's good for you, and not what others think should be good for you!

TRUE in bangkok ROCKS! I can download Gigabytes of movies whenever I like and there is NO lame 'fair usage' crap that comes with all the pitiful UK crappy deals.
