Watched "Dirty Sexy Money" last night, a new USA nighttime soap/drama/comedy (whatever)

One of the characters is a rich politician, who happens to be a Trannie Chaser. They have a scene where he sneaks away from his wife to be with his 'girlfriend'.

Not Shakespeare for sure, bu amusing.

I just googled. And found out the Trannie character is actually being played by a TS - Candis Cayne.

Although I am not able to watch this  -  and I suspect if I could I would consider it drivel anyway  -  I have little doubt that as usual with the media it would go out of it's way to depict transsexuals in a negative way.

No I'm not a bleeding heart liberal and they actually piss me off.  It's just the way that the media twists things for their own ends that pisses me off even more.  

And why do they do it?

I've been watching more Thai TV recently, and LBs are always charicatured as comedians or grossly ugly (again for comedy). I have not seen a Thai show where LBs are shown with respect.

Also in the soaps. On "Ugly Betty", the Post-Op sister Alexis wakes up from a coma and forgets she had a sex-change.

The only soap I could ever be bothered to watch was Soap.

It showed just how unrealistic and absured all the others are and made it funny.

If they re-ran it I'd watch it again.

the thing in Thailand is that if you are fat, small, bald or ginger they will point and scream laughing at you.Their blatant lack of sutlety is perhaps the honest way to take the piss- but if you laugh at them ,God help you they go frigging nuts.

a few months back this thai prick was laughing into my face and i just gave it back to him- he lost face big style tried to kick me into the head. Crazy bastard was held back thank fuck-didn't fancy fisty cuffs with the agitated little prick. every time i saw him after that he would give me the evil eye or leave the room if i entered.

Its a one way piss take with the Thais-unless you want to make an enemy for the rest of your life.

I DVRed and watched that show yesterday Snick and thought it was kind of good. Ironically the next night (Thursday) another new show "Big Shots" had Dylan McDermonts character getting a BJ from a tranny hooker at a truck stop. He doesn't realize that she is a tranny until he sees her pissing standing up at a urinal.

He plays a CEO for a company that maunfactures something like Viagra and a news reporter finds the tranny at the end of the show and has her tape a conversation between the two. Another decent looking new show

Cool - I'll have to download that one, I was going to give it a miss based on early buzz.
And you are right, this season is not half bad, I expected Bionic Woman to Crash and instead I liked it.
