For Christs sake, it is November I am I reminded Christmas is over a month away.

I have previously worked for retail companies and Christmas planning commenced in March, and we had reviews of the previous Christmas performance all through January.

Thank goodness for February, but then we were subjected to another bastardised date called Valentines Day, and preparation for Easter.

You may gather I was educated in a religious school and I was subjected to the brain washing called Christianity from an early age. Soon reprogrammed my own thought pattern in teenage life.

I respect all religions as long as it is not preached to my face, and women are treated as second class citizens. My religion is life, good living and treating people the way I want to be treated myself.

So Asian TS, can you please not succumb to the marketing con called Xmas and remove any reference to the 'birth' of Jesus until the 2nd week in December. If you feel that you must advertise religious festivals then maybe a new group should be established titled, Brain Washed Section.

As soon as Halloween was over it seems every retailer in tower switched right on over to Christmas mode. I went into Wal-mart last week and the place was packed with people at 1PM on a Monday shopping   €¦. "After Halloween was over"? I saw Xmas stuff going back to about mid-October, if not earlier.

I'd never had a problem with the marketing until I realized that the Black Friday idea is a bribe to fuck with people's Thanksgivings. Get up midnight to sit in a line to wait until a store opens at 4am, then go to another store that opens at 6am - what kind of family day does that make Thanksgiving? "Okay kids, lets sleep early so that we can get up in the morning and give lots of money to Best Buy." Even worse for the families of people who work at these stores.

This year I'm boycotting for the rest of the year any store that opens before 7AM on Friday.

Of course ATS is open 24 hours.
