(newwriter @ Dec. 29 2007,10:17) Interesting thoughts. I had a month in a manoir in France for the RWC (please let's not mention the rugby) with half a dozen school mates from 30-35 years ago. We remain firm friends. Was meant to be 12 of us but I de-partnered during organisation so went solo. Good friends, it barely mattered.

Also have a large group of workmates I continue to see. Perhaps I live in the past too much.

Not very many old girlfriends still close though. Perhaps to do with my liking of LB's now.
Poor bastard. Being an investment banker and a crap one at that, its a small wonder you have any mates.
I'll bite. How did you know I was a crap investment banker?

Don't worry, it only seems kinky the first time

I think you need to do better than that. There are 22m Australians - very few of them are/were investment bankers

They're Old mates for a reason.  Personally,  having friends is Overrated to the hilt.
I enjoy solitude with family "only."
Work, family & Femboys are the only things I care about.

Not necessarily in that order either.

this is nice... cos it makes me think how much i love my friends, and how they're at least as great as people from the past!

i do miss some rich ppl from the past though, days of wine and roses and coke and multiple cocks in a single orifice.
it's just Suzy, some kinda old CD in Sydney. hey, at least i don't charge u when i spooge your face.

So I post earlier about not seeing old friends and I wrote that the best man at my wedding years ago lives but a block away and ...well today, I had a meeting with my RE broker and because this is still a small town (albeit not as small as it once was) and because I had not seen my old bud's truck parked outside his house since my return in November, I asked her if she had seen him lately...thinking perhaps he had moved or was on an extended holiday...and her reply..."You don't know?"  "What don't I know?" "He passed away about two months ago" was not the answer I wanted to hear...But it was the answer I received...So right now,  perhaps I should soften what I wrote earlier...Maybe, just maybe, we should pick up the phone or send that email...If not for that old friend...at least for ourselves...

A friend will bail you out of jail and a real friend will be sat next to you saying "damn, that was fun"
