Hi Stogie,

I was in Kaos accompanied by my LT LB-girlfriend (who likes to watch at Thai boys from time to time instead of old me)this june and also met Ae. She is nice, very sweet real femboy but was definitely not 18. My Gf checked the ID and asked in Thai(answer was 17 become 18) but because I wanted her/him very much and not automatically believe everything she says, let the hotel check too. Fair point. Let's face it, if Ae is femboy or ladyboy then so are more 50% of Thai males of that age. He looks a lot like most young male Thai pop singers I've seen pictures of in recent years.

For me, the bottom line is that if the website and forum were to publish pictures and articles only of people like Ae, I would not consider it a ladyboy site in any sense and would have no interest in it.

I guess a hotel recepitionist would be in a good position to correctly check the age of these femmes, and let you know whether they are legal or not  If, by chance, you do not stay at a hotel though, how can you have their ID checked and verified before you take plunge and buy them out of Kaos Bar or anywhere else ??

The certainly do and they did with me with a ladyboy from TripleX a few months back. So all I can say is don't just rely on the hotel to tell if she is 18 or not.

The ID card will have a birth date in the Thai Calender. It is 543 years greater than ours so 2007 is 2550 in Thailand. Since 1941, the Thai year changes on January 1, just like ours. So just subtract 543 from the year on the ID card. This doesn't tell you if it her ID card, though.

The month will be written in Thai. For example - 1 ก.พ. 2530 is 1 Feb 1987.

An easy trick is not to ask how old they are but to first ask them what day their birthday is. i.e. "My birthday is 10 January, when is your birthday?" Then, when you check the ID card later, you can see if the day number matches, If it does not, she was probably telling you her real day but she is using someone else's ID card.
