Those pics bring back memories of a late night stagger down the left hand side of Santos St. after to much Tequila. Somewhere in front of the old Firestone Empire me thinks   .....Either that or I must be thinking of Micheal Jackson    Rayton is right though...they are a lot of fun to have a drink with. Where do they all hang out now that Santos Blow Row has gone upmarket?

I knew that quote could piss off you or Trisha or Aubrey or any other of my PI friends, but the photo's in this thread tell the whole story doncha think?? I mean, if I want to chase ladyboys  why would I go to Angeles rather than nana plaza? seriously,  I only use a few months on the road these days as I have commitments in the USA, so I need to use that  time wisely;   your country has lovely beaches and you and your friends speak great english and are nice as pie, but there is zero nightlife in Manila or Cebu from what I could see and no all-night beach parties like I get nightly in my fav Thai places.

 all in all, with only 2 months per year or so in Asia from now on, I don't see myself going back to the P.I.

 just being honest.....so, come to the states!!

I have to agree totally with the opinions above. The PI has some special individuals and some wonderful natural resources(beaches, jungles etc). But on the whole, the country is a ramshakle mess that shows no signs of improving. It is no accident that Salma, Trish, Aubrey, and others I know get the hell out of the country so they can make money. But they are a very small group in an large culture that, by standing still, is slipping into a darker and darker place.

It's not even the ladyboys in the pics that would keep me away, it's the lack of nightlife;  I was in Cebu for 10 days in November 2005 and was pulling my hair out, there is NOTHING to do there!

 when/if they ever have beach parties like this I may go back there
