And as for taking money with you when you die. Give it to the myriad of charities in Thailand or your home country. I am all for being generous, but giving exhorbitant gifts to girls that dont appreciate or deserve it is just plain stupidity.

i believe he's saying he's not intelligent about his money due to any personal poverty, but rather that he is intelligent about his money because he's cheap.

as the generous and respectable friend who bought the phone for vee can well attest, i am the one who is cheap. i've been using the same third-hand phone on my trips to LOS for almost two years. 1000 baht, *very* well spent, thank you.

How clever we are those of us that don't do it and how clever you are those of us who save up our shekels to come here and beat down the price of a short time by 500 Baht!

I bought Cindy a $400 phone a year ago. She still hasn't sold it yet. Probably waiting for me to die! Made her feel good and made me feel good!

There are a lot of instances when it's sheer folly to do this but it's probably best to show some restraint when passing judgement on those of us that do.

Firstly so called real charities take at least 50% of your money in administration fees so you enjoy paying these guys big salaries so you can feel good - Good on you!!

Actually the phone was bought as a gift after spending 9 days with her, hardly a big time investment on my behalf, and yes it did make me feel better.

By the way, its my money and i can do what the fuck i like with it.

Yes he is entitled to his opinion, but what he cannot do is call me "stupid" when he has no understanding of the "deal" that was done between me and Vee for a 9 day longtime.

Secondly - I dont fall for the idea that charities do anything to help those that really need it, if so, why are there so many poor and desperate people in the USA. Donating to charity often makes the benefactor feel better about themselves and not the people they are supposedly helping.
