Oh Pogue , Im not naive and or grande to know that I dont appeal too everyone thats why "variety is the spice of life", however your post shows just how sad your existance here is that you went OUT Of your way to make a post under a positive thread,,,WAY TO GO BLOTE.

Hey I am Irish decent also but live in Australia. Been to the US many times though.

Thailand can be relatively cheap and your biggest single expense would be your airfare. There are a few members who live in Thailand and many like myself who travel there quite often who I would say would be more than happy to show you around.  

To put the cost into perspective I spent 4 weeks in the US in 2003 driving from Orlando to LA and spent nearly 15K AUD and this was just for flights, food, accommodation, gas and other entertainment such as movies, alcohol and the occassional company of lovely lady  

I spent about 6K AUD for nearly 3 weeks in Thailand earlier this year and that included all of the above but I drank copious amounts of alcohol and spent time with on average 2 lovely ladies every day

I may be name-dropping here,  but I think Wendy will agree that I was one of the first people to ever take her photos, circa september 2001 [exactly 5 years ago!].
