Ther are at least two good hotels right in the Chow Kit area you can stay in, about 2 mins walk to the action. Good hotels, on the main road, forgot the name but they are very accomodating

Oh, i have no complains what soever in the looks department of the girls from Chow Kit or Beach Club. There are stunners at both places. Was just complaining about the dirty ST hotels at that area. Can you give me a recommended Hotel name though? A hotel the girls can come in by themselves and go straight to my room? This question applies to you too Looker.
I would say the Grand Continental, The Plaza Hotel and The Asia Hotel. They are around Chow Kit (within 3-5 mins walking)but are still decent and both girls and ladyboys can easily come up to the room by themselves. They are budget hotels in the range of about RM 100-150 (Euro 20-30).
There are many others 2 or 3 stars around the area. NOthing specail but palaces when compared to the ST hotels in the area.

Looker, of the 3 hotels mentioned, which would you recommend. I'm coming from the angle where the hotel staff will least blink an eye if a LB were to come up to your room?

The reason I'm ultra careful is that Malaysia have very strict laws that are rather anti-gay. And being with a ladyboy does fall under the category of "gay" conduct in this country. Even the ex-Deputy Prime Minister was ousted from his seat with allegations of being gay and having gay relationships. I know for foreigners/tourists, you will not be subjected to this scrutiny by the law, but mate, in Malaysia, I ain't no foreigner! Just yesterday, the front page of a local tabloid was about this bust on a gay massage parlour in KL.......

I am in no way suggesting that being with a LB is "gay", but that's how the law sees it here in Malaysia.

So I'm playing by slightly different rules here guys, and every bit of information counts.

OK..if we go by the law, as you rightly said, homosexuality in Malaysia is an offence and, theoretically, if they catch you they could throw you in jail and toss the key in the murky little river that crosses KL
However, I've never heard of foreigners being caught in the act and jailed but if you tell me that you're living in Malaysia..hmmm..
Of the three hotels I mentioned the first two are more or less same thing, unless they have renovated and improved them. I never tried the Asia but have seen it from outside and seems ok.
I went there some three years ago and hope nothing is changed in the guests rules.
Last year I was at the Pan Pacific which is a bit more far away from there (5 mins by taxi) but it's very nice and still quite economic compared to Europe or USA. I was also in another hotel in Bukit Bintang area (forgot the name) and no problem whatsoever.
Back to the risk factor, as you pointed out, in M'sia it goes by "terror campaigns" that the PM has to do once in while. It could be against drug, homosexuality, taxi drivers, not-spicy-enough-food..and so on.
So, once in while there are these bustings..that true..

So far as I know the hotels are no problem in KL. I rather would recommend a hotel at Jln Sultan Ismail, which are sure fully booked during F1.

the premier rooms are great. In the same building is a Hard Rock Cafe and LB are just infront of

The few times that i ever go to Langkawi, I never came across any Lb scene to speak of. Even the GG scene was a little slow I felt. Nothing compared to Thai islands.

thanks guys. where are the hottest GG's in KL? For example in BKK I go to the Hyatt bar and restaurant ( I forget the name it is an upscale Italian restaurant) or the Conrad for top talent. Which hotel bar (upscale) is the best place? please advise. Thanks again.
