I agree with that, never had any problems in the area prodominantly catering for Arabs. I even used to stay in a little hotel on the street next to the main area. You can't brand the entire population for the actions of a few.

we used to  cruse the  marine bar   late at night  long before wallking street was ever a  walkway at night. just used to  drive down and call a  girl over   "bai short  time mai "i would cry she would allways reply "bai" 300 bhat  yummmy..
i  'm  over pattaya it has its  good points  but its not  for me these s  days.  the  beach is  fucking filthy mind you it allways was    and the  main reason is all the fuckling morons that   crowd the  place  from europe
just anothe r note in the  early  days  there where absouloutly  thousands of arabs around. all very friendly  and allways wanting to huy  you a drink and chat. the good old days

That's exactly how it was, mate! No fucking closing hours, you got blown 24/7, nobody gave a shit and you had for 200B sex on the beach.

I think at that time D'Pilar in Mabini Manila had the edge on Pattaya, OK the LB scene there was pants & it wasn't really by the sea, but the girls were brilliant way ahead of the Thais then, its probably the other way round now. I used to stay in the Rothman hotel, no windows what a dump, then i started staying in the rooms above the Firehouse GoGo, they were mad times, more than anyone could handle 24/7.

But alas, another area cast into the history books by that idiot Lim.

They are not coming back folks, so make the most of now.

Bye the way in Chiang Mai in the early 80's the girls really only wanted feeding & a semi decent room for the night, if you were a real cheap charlie you get away with a 100baht tip!!

I think we might have misinterpreted donnnnnny here. I don't think he was saying that the arabs are not friendly people just that things used to be different and it seems places and people were more open and easy going back in the old days.
