I've got to admit that for all the regulars spoiled by the talent on offer at Nana Plaza and a host of other ladyboy hot spots, its kinda slim pickings in a place like Chiang Mai. If the Marina Bar ain't you're style, perhaps a more suitable alternative may be the Simon Cabaret ?

The show itself will set you back 500 Baht, and after the show there is a host of talent waiting for a handsome farang with a big wallet to take them home.

Ponlien is truly amazing...She was the first Thai Ladyboy that I ever saw on line (I think it was a promo for ATS) and I suppose largely, if not fully, responsible for my love of ladyboys today....I will have to add Chiang Mai to my list of Thai cities to visit if only to say hello to her....

I thoroughly enjoyed the visit i made there last November & I am off there again in May for a few nights. ALL, the LB's were nice even tho's working the street seemed to be alot less pushy than the "beach road" crew & the ones that made it to my room treated me very well. ( & hopefully I them ). I appreciate the cabaret LB's have a busy schedule, but they did not rush in my room. They are a bit "white" up in Chiang Mai, but that does not detract from there overal beauty.

It was also a pleasure to be in Chiang Mai, climate people & the quietness compared to Pattaya, Phuket, & Bangkok. Anyone seeking an alternative to the usual suspects might enjoy Chiang Mai.

Hi Robin,
Couldn't agree with you more about Chiang Mai.
Having flown there directly from Phuket the contrast was striking.  You won't find nicer, more gentle people anywhere in Thailand.  
I think if I was to live anywhere in Thailand, this would be the place !
