Well, my ex-gf, postop lb,
Say no more!
Wow! So, she's available now, huh?
Just kidding. Such a revelation about my new best friend. Most excellent. Do tell more. Feel free to PM me.
Talk about a one track mind

I call it consistency.
Retired the top 12. Need a new dirty dozen.
Update: The new list is coming together: Nong Poy, Anita, Nok, Gif, Liisa Winkler, Kay, Nina Poon. Is it possible to find 5 more? Until then, GGs: Jessica Alba, Yuko Ogura, Zhang Ziyi, Maggie Q, and Gong Li.

As for getting jobs in Thailand - it's against the Thai constitution to discriminate on the basis of sexuality. The only problem is that there is no-one to enforce this law. If you decide not to employ someone - that's it.
Discrimination - it's not a Thai word - most companies just don't employ ladyboys.
RR.
very very well said...
discrimination is something that many people avoid using but it hungs heavily in the air especially when it comes to hiring LBs for significant positions...this is oh so true in the Philippines...companies will avoid the issue and just not hire the LBs especially when it's so easy to throw their resumes to the trash can after the interview...
I have met many people from your country - though only one from Cebu.
I know that the education system in your country is pretty good and women have pretty much the same opportunities as men. I also know that in the work place that women are second class citizens. Transsexuals don't even rate!
At least the medical profession in most of the world has managed to work out that being gay or transsexual is not a disease!
I recently managed to work out that 'herself' has an IQ probably greater than mine. That makes her close to being a genius! But as a ladyboy she must have something 'wrong' with her. So no job!
Most of the ladyboys in Thailand have an IQ 20% higher than the average of the population. What a waste of a national resource!
Descrimination is not only stupid it's also destructive!

Pedants rule, OK. Or more precisely, exhibit certain of the conventional trappings of leadership.

I know a LB who worked for Thai as a ticket agent dressed as a man, until she got implants and they asked her to take them out or leave, she left.
That would be Benz - great girl
I have to admire her courage for her choice of lifestyle over secure employment - giving up a job (Thai Airways) that few would even consider leaving was tough, but she is happier as a LB and so has resolved not to look back

Yes, I agree - but not always true
I know a Filipina LB who passed her boards to become a CPA at age 20
She worked for a company for a while before deciding to attend law school - and so is today employed as an accountant in a provincial goverment office for the purposes of having increased flexibility to attend her classes
The judges and prosecutors in her building have already told her that she has a job waiting for her when she finishes school and passes her bar examination next year - but I suspect she is going to 'swing for the fences' and apply for a job with a law firm in Manila instead
She knows that this will be the true test of her ability to overcome cultural and sexual discrinimation by intelligence, hard work, and sheer force of personality
If she does manage to make it on her own she will maybe make the statistics up to about 1-3% that really have succeded. (OK I am guessing on this but I'm pretty sure I'm not wrong)
Most of the ladyboys that make it in Thailand have some outside support. I can't comment on the Philipines with any real accuracy but my guess is it would be about the same.
If I'm right - or even half right - this is not a good proportion.
As I posted before - and I stand by this comment - my experience - and any medical research I have read says the same.
Transsexuals seem to have a higher IQ than most of the general population. This is a HUGE waste of talent!
Why do we in the UK - the US - Europe - Australia - Thailand - the Philipines and on and on and on do this !!!!!

Just bumping this back up, something I have the chance to do now is show this photo Looker found to various LBs now that I am in Thailand.
I downloaded the photo to my laptop and asked the opinion of 5 lbs. In this highly scientific test , all 5 said the person on the right (in the blue) is an lb.
So, if think that cutie on your next TG flight is an lb, it just might be true!

yes, very true One thing I forgot to mention is that I did not tell the viewers that one of the flight attendants is an lb. They just all said she is an lb pointing to the one on the right.

Ok..I re-revive this thread
While we are discussing about a LB working for Thai AIrways, I'm pleased to confirm having recently met one in Kuala Lumpur who used to work for Air Asia
