Some advice if you do take your fav honey to HK - have her dress in business type clothes, prepare a letter that she is accompanying you to HK and back to BKK, so she can give it to the immigration officer in case they start asking questions. If you say she is your executive assistant, prepare some business cards for her.

Thanks RX , this is the main issue that im not sure about how her in this respect..Shes actually from Laos and pretty passable and smart but maybe she will start to flap in the presence of immigration

And I thought dealing with Homeland Security was a pain years ago. After I paid $$$ to get her here, then $$$ to her family, then $$$$$ to USA government to get her permission to stay, then $$$$$$$ when she left me I realized one thing. It was all about $$$$$. Her, Her Family and the USA Government. They all just wanted my $$$.

With the GFC moving into its second phase, it is only going to get worse. So many of them without money in Asia are going to be trying that much harder to extract it anyway they can. Extract it from the walking ATMs.... i.e. us...

Im only going to Disney Land .. so much stress. Someone told me to buy a Bus Class ticket to HKong and the goons dont trouble you. Having said that im pretty sure HK dont have a fast track so maybe not worth it

She told me " why not go to South Korea". Some TV show it seems got her on that one ...no thanks.

I see Pinoy LBs at the HKIA all the time and the immigration guys don't give them too much trouble, maybe a few questions from time to time at the counter and that's it...

I, myself, have been "detained" at the HKIA twice in the past (something wrong with the code in my PP but they have always let me in) and taken for questioning to that room behind the immigration counters and I haven't seen any LBs there, just some Taliban looking guys (minus the RPGs) and a couple of Nigerians (I think)...

And just in case of some troubles, don't worry about your bags, they'll be "safely stored" beside the carousel where you can pick it up even a few hours later

A few other guys always get detained with Thai LBs and usually 45 mins.

My LB Girl from Laos will collapse and faint if we get pulled and probably cave in as well with a stupid story
