Hold off on booking the Holiday Inn. Just bought a girl back and they said it was 2000 baht joiner fee. I complained and they said how about a 1000. Will have a word with the manager tomorrow and report back

Stan up to them Snapper. I had similar problem with Holiday Inn Silom, on my first trip. I think they wanted 500 baht that time. I got pretty worked up and pointed out I was priority club member. They still didn't budge, so eventually I brought up future business and said I would book two additional nights if they waived this and then they finally caved in.

Now I just book the room for two guests. when they ask me a name I tell them TBA. This has worked for the most part, however one hotel questioned the TBA when I brought a lb back to the room. Then to push the envelope even more I brought back a 2nd ST just to see the looks on their faces.

Where does this money go? the fact they said 2000 at first makes me think staff is taking whatever they can over the standard amount which is most likely 1000 or under. Vultures!

Top quality pictures, taken with a compact camera,  (Panasonic LX 3) I expected they were taken with a DSLR.

Fully functioning now? Do you have any evidence? Last May she did not work at all with me. But, of course, if she is now functioning, in a few days I'll jump on her again!
