Blowing up the barriers...but Berlin Walls continue to blight our landscape on the West Bank and in Northern Ireland, just as barriers of prejudice obscure the diverse beauty of the soul. Can't fault the lighting, editing or camerawork...or the shoes...as for the head-dress in the second video, isn't there a region in China where these are worn at certain festivals/occasions in the year?

As with most 'Modern Art' the real question must be : is there a message and does the message go beyond and reach more than those who merely want to be reached ?

The sculptural mortification artpiece, a wooden cross entwined with barbed stalks of plastic lotus, draws upon the religious influences of Buddhism, Christianity and Hinduism. The cross weighs me down and the barbed wires were cutting me throughout the performance... the costume was integral but not the main focus for the video...
