        • (alram @ Apr. 06 2009,00:15) TARDIS, April 2009

          I've been awake all night,
listening to you snore soundly asleep-
the only time I thought I could have you to me.
          That's why I loved you.

          I lay beside you,
          hugging you from behind,
          trying to forge a connection.
          That's why I loved you.

I let go and turned away-
don't want my tears running down your back.
          That's why I loved you.

          I feel the whole weight,
          the bed sinking between us-
          that's why I loved you.
And when you woke up and jumped
          into the showers,
          I pretended
I'm asleep the whole time til
          you left for work.

          I told myself,
          you love me too.
          Love this poem

Oh no, he's not. He's Jason Lim, a local artist. I'd post more about "A Date with Marla." once i get my resources right.

I never take for granted, the intentions of art.

But the picture and the quote,
has at least one humorous interpretation.

I went around the cafe with a piece of paper that said "Do you want to go on a date with me? Yes?".
I showed it to someone I fancied. He said no.
It took me 3 tries before someone agreed to go on a date with me. I was very happy. I took his hand and we sat under a nice incandescent lamp at a window-seat. It was romantic. I had the cafe owner play "Forever In Love" by Kenny. I wrote whatever I had to say on paper.

Are you having a good time?
                  "No."

                  I am.

                  Do you like our song?
                  "No. I don't like Kenny G."

It's okay. I like us together.
I grabbed his armed and cuddled close to him. I looked at him and smiled.

                  Do you think I'm attractive?
                  "Yes..."
I was very happy. It felt like our moment. Just us. Even though there were many staring at us. By now, there were even people standing outside the window, looking at us. He was clearly uncomfortable.

Do you mind people looking at you and me?
                  "Yes."

My grip tightened and I cuddled even closer to him. I could feel him slipping away.

Maybe you can look away... =)
                  "Yes i tried that...."

                  I burst into tears.

"Do you want me to stay here with you?"
                  I cried even harder.
"Okay, I'll stay here with you."

The song was ending and I stopped crying. I reached forward to kiss him, but he flinched and turned away.

I stood up and concluded the performance.
