Excellent post Pacman, I really appreciate the time and thought you put into it. I believe I'll be able to walk that line well between romance/respect and commerce. And no, if Nikki is available it will just make my vacation that much more perfect, it won't make or break it. I was already resigned to the idea that she wasn't available but if so, I'd love to play a part in showing her a good time and proving that yes, some men do have integrity even in the world of mongers. Many of those that I respect on this board have manners, appear to know how to treat women, and seem to have a lot of integrity. That's what I aspire to in all my relationships so hopefully it will hold me in good stead. Either that, or I'll need to grow some muscles and tatts and that's probably not in the cards for me anymore (not disciplined enough).

And Pacman, one more thing: you bring up a really really good point. It would be GREAT to see you start a thread, hopefully one that would be pinned for newbies, called "how to treat a ladyboy". It could address as much of the cultural issues you allude to as possible, and provide input on how to deal with these lovely creatures in a way that provides as much respect as possible while also protecting the monger from the pitfalls (overpaying, being taken advantage of). Please give this idea serious consideration - I'm sure you could get a bunch of the other regular BM's to contribute their input too. You could talk about how to butterfly without making enemies or causing others to lose face; how to be a man with Jai dee; avoiding conflict and not losing your temper in public; how to negotiate rather than leaving things at "up to you" and then having discomfort later; and any other stuff that you know that would help the noobs such as me.

Please PM me if/when you start such a thread; I'd REALLY appreciate it.

I would never claim to have the definitive answer on how to treat a ladyboy. Others have spent far more time with them,

what I do offer is some life experience, relying on my wits to earn a living all my working life tends to sharpen one's people skills.

Even though Thai Transexuals are possibly at the furtherest end of the human spectrum I am likely to encounter,

never lose sight of the fact they are just young, unsophisticated girls doing the best they can.

With that thought in mind, it becomes easier to navigate your way through the challenges a holiday in LOS can present you with.

Everytime you reject a request, you lose a little ground, everytime you accede, your popularity improves. Nothing too sophisticated about it,

but...

expect them to explore the limits of your generosity, saying no, being firm with them isn't necessarily a negative. They might expect meals paid for, agreeing to new clothes or phones everytime they ask doesn't make you stronger in their eyes.

And this is not a one-size-fits-all suggestion, it depends on the girl, yourself & how she sees you, & every nuance in between.

I was a little concerned with the impression I gave in my last post - I don't want to think of you arriving at JSB for a first date, this is primarily a business transaction, you just want to make your offering as agreeable as possible. Young roosters who get chased every night may smile at the very idea.

There has never been a truer word said when it comes to describing the mentality of the P4P scene & Thais in general -

Those of us not as blessed as our younger counterparts can always do well with the best that Thailand can offer, we just have to use our life experience, understand things from their perspective & when all else fails....

Pacman, you and I have spoken a few times and you are a very well versed fellow and I have to say what you wrote in this thread is one of the most enjoyable as I have ever read. It seems like you have really thought this out and it shows what a very good and considate man you really am. Good for you!

PPS do any other "butterfrys" out there have "cold wars" with some LB's from their pasts? I'm sure the harden LB cracks will know what I'm on about... They often turn out to be psychos, ICE freaks or both,  shame...

Pacman, I read your posts like a bible sometime, and find no fault in them. You for one are one of the best to give advice to any newbie. Not only that, as we all got our own taste and circuits, its nice to try something different. And coming back on my last trip, then reading some of your posts about certain places, saying to my self shit I've walked past that place 10 times or more, the next trip I'll pop in. I dont know if it been noted here but me and Katoeylover were walking past Pook bar yesterday and there was a Nicky lookalike sitting down at the front..

From 12 foot away i really thought it was her... i think her name is Tee and she is a very close match to the one and only .... ill try to get a photo later. Im sure someone has mentioned this already but i looked back and couldnt find another post
