There is foam floating in it on your pics and I wouldn't know if this is caused by soap or something else.

Wow 1200 is what Pacman pays for bar fine, Stewart pays less beacuse he is a much hansum man, they will probably charge me 1500 as I am old and ugly man.

I suppose you as a LB hunter never frquent the more popular GG Gogo's where such prices are quite common if you want to barfine their showgirls before midnight or sometimes even before closing.
In  his previouslife Chuck Wow  had  two GG's at Coyotees and normally he has no problem paying barfines.
But these two he just had to see during the daytime before work.

thank god it's 1200 for showgirls and top dancers!!!! thats prob more like it, if that was the case even in 20% of the gg bars in pattaya everyone would stay in bangkok as they average 600 on a par with the nana lb bars

Totally wrong assumption about me. GG bars and gogos are my second home in Pattaya.

OK, coyotee and show dancers, fair enough, but....come on. To give the impression that the "normal" barfine in Pattaya is anything like 1200 is just ridiculous.

Relax Tex, only a few GoGos have set their rate so high. And from my observation, it is counter- productive to business.

Just because it is logical to us that quiet times demands discounts, that isn't how the locals think. I don't know what it will take for commonsense to prevail but the idea of sensible decisions being made in regard to prices gets completely lost when you factor in the the question of face.

I can't see 1200 becoming common, but don't hold your breath waiting for barfines to go down or even disappear.

Dear Manarak, don't even think of coming to LOS if you are so suspicious. I can assure you the water is pristine. It is filtered & chlorinated every day & would be far safer than the average bar stool, public toilet, door handle, etc that you touch every time you leave your hotel.

I am informed that it is used after short times, before short times & during short times. The foam you can see gets generated by the big pump that fills the pool with bubbles. You can rest assured that with such an investment, the water is not left to turn green...

Bar Fines in excess of 1000 baht have been around a long time!

These BFs apply to GG GoGo bars in Walking St. It gets even more confusing.
- Superstars/specialty dancers have a BF higher than ordinary GoGo dancers/Serving girls
- BFs have time steps - before 10.30pm, after 10.30pm and, sometimes, after midnight

The dilemma is that bars make 35% to 65% of their turnover on BFs and LDs - if they dispense with BFs there will be some consequences.
- Drink prices will go up by maybe double today's price
- Salaries for staff - they are dependent on number of BF and LD quota.
- The BF exists as a way for the bar to distance itself from solicitation/prostitution which are both illegal in Thailand.

The good news is that LB bar BFs are normally about 300 Baht rising to 500/600 Baht in some bars.

Anything you negotiate between yourself and your companion is between two consenting adults.

Re Thai economics. Based on a raw Demand & Supply principle.
Thai needs (demands) 30,000 Baht per month
Normally 15 customers so charge 2000 per customer

Downturn in tourists.
Thai still needs 30,000 Baht per month
Now 10 customers so they charge 3000 Baht per customer

Thai 'needs' are the demand factor.
Add in the fact that most Thais really do not really appreciate the reasons for the downturn in tourism - Financial problems in the West, Forex rates etc

Nice choice Pacman. Spent a few great nights with Tukta last trip (pre boltons) and enjoyed her company mak mak. I think she is a stunning looking girl.

Have spoken to her a couple of times from home and will cetainly be renewing our acquaintances in Feb.
