Hopefully Fri week though the volcano cloud is worrying , fingers crossed

Well there was no way a volcano cloud would stop me and even though the airspace had been closed again just days before we travelled we were lucky and we were on our way once again .

I had been none too optimistic for weeks of our chances of travel, so as a result I hadn't really had a chance to look forward to another holiday .

Myself and Ciobha both agreed we would not relax until we were booked in and ready to fly in Heathrow Airport .

As we relaxed with a beer all hell was breaking loose on TV in Bangkok , just our luck that it all kicked off with the army versus the redshirts on the same day we were flying to BKK .

Arriving in Bangkok was kinda odd .
The airport was almost deserted , our taxi driver Apple was nervous , her mum had called her and asked her to stay away from the city centre , she suggested maybe it would be better to go straight to Pattaya as a lot of people had already died .

Ciobha broke the ice with that unique wit that only the Irish possess when he proclaimed that it would remind us of Belfast when we were kids  

Check in at a very quiet Dawin Hotel and out to dinner with our old friend Mr TT Chang , who not only being one of the nicest guys around is also the perfect guy to go on a little bar crawl around Nana with as it appears he knows every ladyboy and even all the waiting staff by name , one would think he spends a lot of time in these particular bordellos  

A little later we were joined by the lovely Taneisha who was in town and added a bit of glamour to our little gang of pervs .

It was finally great to be back

Myself and Tan both agreed it would be better to stay indoors for a while to escape the civil disobedience on the streets .

Once in a while she would check at the window as she was worried that the redshirts would break into her room to steal her extensive shoe collection for deadly weapons to launch at the army

Hi Jimslim,

I guess if I can't be there myself, living vicariously through your trip reports is the next best thing.

Happy to see you are taking good care of the beautiful Tan.

No doubt you rehearsed a few emergency 'drills' & demonstrated how to use your body as a human shield.

Kind words (mostly!) .... I find that as the dementia is setting in, I have to work hard on the short term memory      With the lack of farang in BKK, I've even been promoted from 'good heart' to 'sexy man' in the last two weeks.  Aaah, just realised ... that's because you were sitting next to me, begorrah.

Hope you've got some 'Emmy' pics in your TR .... to add to the TT album.
