I've been to PP a few times over the past 5 months. Fried Frunk introduced me to the place and also recommended Siem Reap, which I visited three weeks ago.

All the bars that have been mentioned are good bets to find LB's, and there are a few diamonds in the rough to be found. However there are a couple of things that I reckon I should mention about PP and Cambodia in general that might be helpful to new guys visiting the country.

Firstly, finding LB's anywhere in Cambodia can be a case of hit and miss. There's no way near the quantity or quality that you get in Thailand. There are a few hotties about that are willing to fuck you for cash but they are much harder to find, and compared to LOS, you may find yourself spending more time searching for them. (this is part of the fun for me personally)

FYI The most I've paid for sex in Cambodia is $20USD and the lowest, $10.

Cambodia is really poor and there are heaps of people, kids included, that are begging and will focus on you, the foreigner. Expect to be regularly hassled by tuk-tuk drivers and anyone hawking anything. Everything in Cambodia looks a lot shittier than it does in Thailand or Vietnam.

Watch your belongings. This may sounds like common sense and hence you may dismiss this last comment however I recommend being vigilant with your belongings. I was done over in Siem Reap, the first time I've ever been robbed in my life. However I left myself wide open and only have myself to blame. I wouldn't want what happened to me happen to any of you guys.

Keeping in mind the above, I still loved the place and look forward to going back in the near future.

Are hotel room safes SAFE in places like Phnom Penh?

As SAFE as any hotel safe in Thailand where they hang the duplicate key in reception    

I wouldnt leave all my wordly wealth in any hotel safe, but a theft from a locked hotel safe would be bad for business in any city.  I've not heard of any problems from other mongers - I'm sure we would if it happened.

Probably safer than many Banks, anyway!

PS. Found a lovely LB from Phnom Penh last night ..... in Poppy 2 bar on Beach road Pattaya!!! She's back in PP when I visit there next, so who knows

I've been living in Phnom Penh the last few weeks and it seems the girls change bars very often since they're usually on freelance status despsite there being a barfine.

The most ladyboys under one roof can be found at Classic Cabaret at the intersection of Street 63 and Street 288. Shows at 10 PM and also generally at midnight. Free admission. No barfine but the girls are not actively seeking customers as the audience is mostly members of the Khmer GLBT community.

I walked into this club and immediately this chick latches onto me and we formed a close bond quickly on the dance floor.
After a short while of heavy petting we went for a walk and I took her up a side alley off Pub Street to continue the action.
As I was fucking this bird someone snuck up behind me and stole my wallet out of my shorts (which were on the ground).
It was only when I was finishing up and reached for my shorts and felt that my wallet was gone did I realise the situation. The chick was out of there quick smart and no one within the vicinity knew anything. My impression was that it was a set-up by the girl.
As I has no money or cards I had to ring some family in Australia to wire me some cash through Western Union to get out of Cambodia and back to HCMC.
There's a bit more detail to this story which I haven't included but this is the gist of what happened.

Not strictly correct? - in view of your missing wallet that night in SR!  

It would put many guys off returning to Cambo, but I'm sure you wont repeat the knee trembler in a back alley next time.  Btw thanks for sharing your unfortunate mishap with us.
