      • Didn't get out much in Pattaya either as I brought Jane from KCIII with me. I went for a short monger one night, but ended up drinking at a gg bar while Jane stayed back at hotel watching TV.

Love the traffic lights as well. Someone in municipal planning actually has a sense of humor.

          • Check out the elephants holding the street lights in this photo. I took more photos of this stuff than anything else during my day in Krabi.

                          • That old railroad train is pretty cool hugging the cliff is cool, remember it well.

BH, did you stay in one of the floating ningalows on the river shown in your pics?

                            • Piggdog I didn't stay at those floating ningalows in the top photos. Those were pretty upscale and a way outside of Kanchanaburi towards the Hellfire pass. It was near tose rock cliffs, which is as the Wangpo viaduct. Its on the Kwai Noi River. 31 men died in falls to the rock and 29 were beaten to death while constructing the trestle bridge.

I stayed in Kanchanaburi in this floatiing Bungalow for 200 baht a night. I waqs staying at River Kwai hotel, but when I took the Tiger trip the next day I found out about this place from the tour operator. They have bungalows on land which are more, but they have their own toilet. These were about 3 kilometres from town. I rented a Kayak for 100 baht and we paddled to the Bridge over the River Kwai, docked at a resteruant ate and drank then floated back. The typical tours they offer are Tiger Temple, Elephant trekking/bath, Waterfall, Hellfire pass which are all a hour plus from Kanchanaburi. You can rent a moterbike and cut cost, which I did too to go Tiger Temple. Bike was cheap, but I got a flat coming back and was so lucky to be near a service station that was able to fix it for 100 baht.

The next day before cacthing the bus back we went to War Museum and Cemetary in Kanchanaburi. # cars in front of me ran a red light and no one at intersection was going so my ladyboy said to go. I was pulled over right in front of police station. I didn't have my liscence on me and ran the light. My ladyboy got into a loud discussion with the BIB, and I had to chill her ass out as I didn't want them throwing the book at me. We had to go to the station and after a long discussion they only charged me for not having liscence...300 baht.

                              • These engines are in town near the famous Bridge. The countryside is very hilly on the way out to Hellfire pass as it was dubbed by the Australian POW's.
