The Sunflower bar resteruant on Phi Phi. During a hike ran into one of the Rasta men who work there and he told us about the all u can eat seafood special that night with live music.

So we made a point to go and weren't dissappointed. You have to be patient at this place, and you will feel like your in Jamaica mon. The seafood buffet was whatever they caught during the day and it didn't kick off util an hour later than advertised. The live music was late as well as the talent got there late made an introduction and said he had to have shower first and would be right out. Then we saw him on the second floor of this hut doing bongs.

they have tables and mats on the sand and several backpacker types were sprawled out filling the air with reefer smoke. Even saw one of the staff hook some Poms up with some herbs and then joined them later for a smoke.

Toilet is kind of inconveinant across the road about 50 metres away, but think that was because original one out of order or under construction. Most laid back Thais I have met, must have been the weed.

This first one outside the Sunflower on Phi Phi Island. I just love that "Make Fix Your Dread", notice the toilet sign with arrow pointing accross the street.


This 2nd one I may have posted before. Poo which is Thai for Crab. We actually went into this place near Surin Beach and I ordered the Poo and had a good laugh when my ladyboy translated to me that they were out of Poo. I had asked her when they will next have Poo? The waitress didn't know. So we ended up just having a drink instead of getting something else. You don't go to a seafood place and order steak, and you don't go to a steak house and order Poo.

Backpackers stay in these little huts for 300 baht a night. I think the ones on the bottom where even cheaper. I didn't ask about these but they aren't as big, new or nice as the ones in 1st photos.

I stayed in Guesthouses, ranging 700 to 1000 baht.

Took a romantic walk down the beach and into the rainforest on a small secluded footpath and then got a nice polishing before the mosquito's got to me.

the baech at Phi Phi. the last photo of a boat taxi which was about 60 baht I think to take you to different parts of the Island or secluded resorts. we used one to get back after a long hike.

In the evenings we mostly stayed in playing hide the cock and other indoor games. The bars are mostly geared towards backpackers. One bar in particular had a beer bong hanging from the wall with the top 10 times written in chalk. They were all under 3 seconds.

They give out vouchers/coupons in the day for drink specials to lure you in at night. They are just photocopied on white paper. You see them on the ground from people discarding them later. Some are quite funny. Free buckets from 12:00 - 12:05, or 2 for one 1 from 9:00 to 9:10. One bar had Mai thai and if you got into ring with this female fighter you would get a free bucket. I had to see this and see if any woud do it. The sign outside said get in ring with lady or ladyboy and win free bucket. We get there and have a couple drinks.

A couple Thai woman fight, and they are hideous looking. Ones face looks like an apple that fell off the back of a truck and the other is chubby and stout. So I ask a girl who works there about the ladyboy fighter. "you want to fight ladyboy?" umm no, where is she? "I call her she come, you want to fight ladyboy?" No no thats ok. "Why not" I'm not that desperate for free bucket. "You afraid" umm ya I'm afraid to get sweaty.

So after a session a back at the loom we go back out to get a free bucket with our paper slips. We get to the place at 11:45 and have a drink. Just before midnight a much larger crowd rolls in in waiting for free buckets. Many locals are amonst the late crowd. At 12:00 its a feeding frenzy at the bar, only the locals are being served first. Then I finally get our buckets. They are both less than a 1/4 full. I see the level of the locals over half and just laugh. I chug mine down only to find its weak as making me feel like the fool for going back out chasing this special.

All of these specials are all to good to be true deals. Don't make your plans around any of them. The free beer is one is an 8 oz cup. The for one is a certain beer only which happens to be priced at 150 baht. If you want fun legit drink specials go to Samet, not Phi Phi.

My ladyboy had was delighted to be taken to such a beautiful place and even opened up to the idea of a threesome for me. She wasn't open in BKK with the whole losing face thing and the feeling she wasn't enough. I'm always on the lookout naturally and don't see any during the day. there are no lb bars as such on Phi Phi and not much a selection of bars anyway. However I'm standing on the balcony having a smoke around 1 a.m. and this pack of ladyboys come walking down the road. Although its dark I can here ones voice confirming its a ladyboy and another is bery tall. As they approach underneath me I let out an Oi! My lb in the room thinks I'm bluffing, however one in the pack stops and thinks i'm talking to her. I'm not, I want the one who is a foot shorter and not so loud. I point and she grabs her friend, I wave and come down and meet them. the big ugly one is still asking if I want her. No maybe your friend. So we cut a deal, buy me and her a beer and return to my loom.

I don't recall her name but she drank Singha.
