ok i dont wanna sound rude but...
If you didn't want to sound rude you wouldn't have posted at all, right?

So; in keeping with your desire to not 'wanna sound rude' I have deleted your post.

You don't have to thank me.
One of the benefits of owning and running the site.
I wish I had that capability when the jerk Brocklanders insulted Odet a couple of years ago. One difference was, he didn't preface it with saying he didnt want to be insulting.

No offence taken. Cindy reads over my shoulder and I don't want her to see hurtful posts about her!

Prefacing posts seems to be a poor choice but I'll give it a shot anyway - I know there's no upside in chipping a moderator on here but if it's right, it's right.

The original post from ripcurl (which I got to read in pacman's criticism anyway) didn't seem to me to be insulting to anybody at all. Unless Cindy's not as smart and worldly as she appears, she knows not everybody will thing her beautiful.

Personally, I met her in the bar and thought her incredibly pretty and sexy but in photos she doesn't appeal nearly as much and I think those of us who don't see girls the same way as others pay our money and deserve the right to have our opinion heard as much as those who agree with you.

Since when do contrary opinions reasonably expressed merit censoring? I know, you can do what you like. Well the majority of the time that sort of attitude is amusing and your judgement is good but it places a lot of responsibility on you to not only be fair, but to be seen to be fair - something that obviously gets more difficult when you open threads with lots of pictures of a girl you clearly adore.

Would you have done the same thing if the same post had been made about a girl you didn't like/know? I doubt it.

Don't worry, it only seems kinky the first time

Correct. Of course I wouldn't have deleted a post about a girl I neither cared for or knew. And - as you say - Cindy is a big girl (snigger!) and she knows herself better than we do!

Here's why I deleted the original post (but left in the entire post IN, as quoted by others...)

ok i dont wanna sound rude but cindy has a VERY MANLY FACE and it just ruins it for me...
Her name should have started with a capital letter. The words that the poster didn't want to appear rude with were capitalized!

If the same post had been written by a regular contributor with a lot of posts already then I would have left it.

If the post had been written in presentable English without the emphasis on the main point then I would have left it.

The post seemed to me to be provocative without reason. No girl or admirer of said girl wants to be told that the girl actually looks like a man!

It IS rude anyway you cut it and could have easily been worded in a better more literary way.

But I didn't want to go overboard and I felt that the quoted post (Pacman) was fair enough and the snippets added were salient.

Also - Cindy looks at the forum sometimes and she has a lot of friends here, too. No point in changing the whole texture of the thread from just one post... although I suppose it's a bit late for that, now, eh?

He expressed his opinion, what was wrong with that? I thought that was what forums were for?

And why not delete Brocks and Jadeite's posts?

And, for the record, I think Cindy has a very manly face, but I don't want to sound rude.....IMHO, and in pretty good English

Sorry to disagree with you Stewart but there is a lot wrong with ripcurl's post.
My bone of contention with it was the degree of personal projection he presented as his opinion.
It is all subconscious stuff evidenced by his lack of empathy, the belligerence displayed by the capital letter emphasis & the underlying tone in general.
He even twigged himself he may be out of order by hoping he wasn't thought rude.
He wrote a nice response to its deletion showing himself to be more reasonable than he appeared.
The same projection is not there in the other two posts otherwise I am sure they would have suffered a similar fate.

Anyway, for someone with over 3000 posts to your credit, I am sure you recognised this thread was close to Stogie's heart & not to be trifled with.
Even if someone hated Cindy, this was not the time nor the place to be mentioning it.

I am amused by the idea that every body here is equal & we all have the same rights to express any opinion whenever we like.

Ah, ... no ... you toy with the bosses affections at your peril. Maybe not the egalitarian society we expected, but you know what they say, if you don't like it ........
Despite the high cost of living, it continues to be popular.

Well - I think what Pacman was alluding to is the ASSUMPTION that everyone is equal, when in reality, of course, they aren't!

Longtime contributors and chums of the site can get away with stuff that lesser known posters can't.

It's no democracy, but it seems to work!

Cindy looks really good once the cosmetics are applied although a little bit scary minus the war paint.
