  • Thailand tourist questions

"According to the following websites: https://tp.consular.go.th/and Tourism Authority of Thailand's website, from October 1, 2022 onwards, travelers entering Thailand will no longer be required to present COVID-19 related documents such as the certificate of vaccination and COVID-19 test result upon arrival in Thailand."

Yesterday I got an email from the Los Angeles thai embassy that I must provide a negative pcr test and covid vaccination record. But the above printout sez differently. So what's the latest truth? Tired of disorganized stupidity and inefficiencies at their immigration office. It costs me us$300 to cancel my plane fares if my evisa application fails to go through. Waste of my time and money.

Also required is a B100k health insurance proof. Wasn't that cancelled? Where can I buy that online? Is thailand so inefficient that their computer is always down?

Go ahead and Google: do i need a pcr test to thailand? And read all the contradictory answers. I emailed another letter to the Los Angeles consulate for clarification. And Colin miyabara at the forever closed honolulu consulate.

        • Travelers entering Thailand are not required to show Proof of Vaccination or COVID-19 test results. All travelers can freely travel to Thailand without any COVID restrictions.
        • Travelers are not required to obtain a Thailand Pass or Certificate of Entry (COE). There is no need to download any mobile app.
        • Travel Insurance is still highly recommended when you travel to Thailand.
        • Travel Insurance is mandatory for travelers traveling from and to countries that require RT-PCR COVID test for incoming travelers such as India and China. Insurance validity must be +7 days to the intended stay in Thailand.
        • Before you travel to Thailand, you should buy your travel insurance for your protection to cover your entire trip to Thailand and book your hotel stay to get the best deals and rates:

Thanx. I suspect some stupid schmuck at the LA consulate just thought it was easy to click and paste outdated info. For now I hear it's the rainy season and unusual hot at 40 centigrade. Will check again in October.

Thanx again for this AXA info. There's too many stories of Europeans getting into serious accidents
Some with fatal results. 8 trips and never had any serious accidents.

Thailand has some of the most dangerous roads in the world. I've had a motorbike crash. Many Thais have had multiple motor bike accidents.
