Playa del Carmen is a better place to go alone since it is easier to walk around the walking street and it is about 1 hour from Cancun.
Cancun is spread out and hard to socialize if you are alone and older. You can call escorts to your hotel however.
Playa del Carmen has TS on the street and in bars, with many outdoor beer bars. We met some in clubs and saw some on the street.
There is a gay bar on the walking street that has a TS or two standing out front usually.
Also you must have forgotten billyworld is in Cancun and has posted multiple pictures of TS he has experienced in Cancun.

Last on our tour we went to a cenote in the jungle which is an underground cavern created by the water running through the limestone.
We explored the caverns and swam in the perfectly clear water.

Thanx for the tip about Playa del Carmen. Here's more info about this area with names of bars. Will seriously think about visiting Mexico when the USA reaches a point where I don't have to face any pesky Covid restrictions from the airlines. To tell you the truth I have always thought about visiting Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta. Never been to Mexico at all. Now your excellent photos are charging me up. Thailand is getting worse. Not better. Instead I now can go East to Mexico via Los Angeles. Keep on Trucking!

Next week I am booked to fly back to Canada from Cancun. Previously i could not fly to Canada from Brazil at all, Mexico is ok though.
I will arrive in Toronto then stay 3 days at a Government Approved Quarantine Hotel near the Airport.
The price includes 3 meals a day for 3 days at the Crowne Plaza near the airport.
After my 3 day hotel quarantine I travel home to complete my full 14 day quarantine at home alone.
I take a PCR test before I leave Mexico then take another test when I arrive in Canada.
Also I need to take a PCR test on day 8 of my quarantine.

I eat lots but I am active.
in Cancun we went to the gym every day for 2 weeks. Lots of swimming and walking and we even played tennis a couple times.
