Also very popular and good in Mexico is Beer with Clamato and the very spicy version which is Micheladas.
We are addicted. They don't have Clamato juice in Brazil so it is all new to Fernanda.
Very refreshing at the beach.
Waves are big on the one side of Cancun. It pushes in all the blooming seaweed this time of year.
Playa Marlin is right in the middle of the hotel zone. Calmer beaches are on the north end of the hotel zone.
We have now moved to Playa Del Carmen for a few weeks. We have a place 2 blocks from the beach and right on the famous 5th avenue walking street.
There is endless bars and restaurants within walking distance of our apartment.
Our place has a big terrace with a private dipping pool, right in the middle of the action.
Unfortunately things are closing at 11pm most of the time but this just means you have to start the party earlier.
Then take it back home to our place.
Hey you 2...the new place looks great !!!
Rained like hell over here in Cancun today...thunder, lightning and flooded streets...
reminded me of Pattaya
The party continues in Playa Del Carmen.
In the afternoon we went to the beach for a while then had lunch. It was super hot, almost too hot and there is lots of smelly seaweed this time of year.
Beaches are beautiful here but not as swimmable as most places in Thailand.
In the evening we went out and Fernanda got a new tattoo on Quinta Avenida (5th avenue)
Then we had dinner and I had a huge chimichanga.
The waiter then asked me if I lived there because he recognized me. Seems maybe we have spent too much time in Playa Del Carmen.
I think the two of us are making a stir here.
Wow. You sure do know how to spend money in Mexico. Such delicious-looking food. About how much did your lunch with Fernanda cost? In US dollars? I prefer the Brazilian melon dish on Fernanda's chest. Yuuuuumy yums!!! Keep posting more of your adventures in Mexico. Maybe a visit to Mexico City next? Las Vegas? Hawaii's Waikiki Beach?
We had hamburgers for lunch and beer which was $30 US.
The meal in the picture with the Chimichanga was about $60 US including beers and tequila.
Most of the mexican places in Playa are pretty reasonable.
Some more pictures of Playa del Carmen Walking Street and the nearby beach that is full of seawee.
Also the waiter preparing my strawberries Jubilee for dessert.
