  • Sooooo...what is actually happening on the streets...is ANYONE having sex???

I typically spend American winters in BKK but missed it this year because of a major surgery on my leg
Honestly I'd rather be "stuck" in BKK than Michigan during this virus situation!
But I'm wondering what I'm missing...
Are the ladyboys willing to entertain customers right now or...
Is fear of the virus too great...causing everyone to just stay home and play with themselves...LOL

Thailand is closed to foreigners until at least the end of April - and with the emergency degree for social distancing and closing all bars, restaurants, clubs and non-essential business, almost all the lbs have gone back to their home provinces. I supposed if you were a foreigner living in Thailand you might still be able to find some lb action, but it would be difficult.

Here's a video from Pattaya March 28, by Nick who is a bar owner. Note that closures are determined by province, as you can see a few restaurants and pubs open in this video. I have read it is stricter in Bangkok.

I watched a couple of Nick's vids...one of them was of him shutting down his own bar...paying the staff and wishing them well...
      Made me sad.
I hope this is over quickly for the sake of everyone...
I noticed that a few people are thinking that by April 3 some businesses will start opening back up.
      Any truth to that "rumor"?

Billyworld, I think it will depend if the number of cases continues to increase. If they do, it is less likely things will open up. April 3 is probably too soon.

However, the Thai government is very concerned about the economic damage, as they already suffered low tourist numbers from January onwards. I hope they don't relax things too soon, as the situation can rapidly get out of control.

Stop dreaming : we will all remain embedded in this shit for a few months more. Here, in Europe, we are observing whether Italy and Spain are about to reach the peak of the pandemic or not. Any country dealing lightly with this major disaster will pay an expensive price with casualties. There are still criminals at the head of countries thinking "rather loose a few more old people and keep on business". They will make no business with dead people.

Thai people should be happy. Social safety is going to pay unformal workers who request 5,000 baht per month. Pattaya is almost locked down.
In Vietnam it's worse. The Prime Minister ordered the closure of non essential business. I haven't read of a lockdown yet but workers have no pension or whatever money from the administration to help. Ladyboys went back to their families if they could. Those who stayed in town are accumulating debts and claiming for help. They survive on their savings. A ladyboy who made her mammoplasty recently is in a pretty fix. She lives in HCMC, has no money to pay for her rent and no saving to survive. I don't know what will happen next.

I chatted with a LB friend last night for about 25 minutes...born and raised in BKK and is 26 now...she said she has NEVER seen BKK like it is at the moment...not during the coup or the riots...not when the King passed away...she described it like a science fiction movie...and even the possibility of finding customers isn't interesting because of the likelyhood of them being positive...it's a "lose/lose" situation for everyone
            I sent her $150 USD

$150? Bless you. May need to send contributions for 2 more years. B5000 isn't enough. My friend sez she had to pay her B5000 rent today. I suspect many in the bar business aren't getting anything because they never paid taxes, ever.

Tonight France announced they will keep controlling boarders till end of October. I am not sure the whole story will be over at that time.

i'm pretty sure also 2 years minimum. Even if there is less restrictions after months, people will not take the risk to go in asia for a while. About the effects on the world economy of this virus, it will stay in the air for more than 2 years.

CBS News interviewed a doctor 2 days ago that speculates that the Covid-19 will become a regular part of life on planet earth...exactly like the Flu virus...it will
continue to morph annually so no real cure will likely be developed...but medicines will become available to minimize the effects and rid the body of the germ quickly.
Welcome to life in the "Roaring 2020's"...

They said as far as they have seen it has not morphed, so a vaccine once created should be pretty effective.

I would gladly risk catching this than lose all my savings.
Something is really suspicious how they are treating this.
It isn't as serous as the way the way people are acting.

It is more that what it looks beyond the infection.
Most likely this was purposely done by the Chinese or the Illuminati.

The rich are now getting richer with everyone else getting poorer.
The powerful are getting new ways to track and control us.

It is slowly emerging that this virus is not as bad as the flu, but some don't want us to know that.
The risks of closing our economies for months is far worse than the disease itself.

My 80 year old mother feels the same. She has lost a large chunk of her savings already.
She would rather risk catching this than lose all her savings.
Is it better for people to go broke than catch this thing?

Something is going on beyond the virus.....

They keep going by worse case scenerios on this thing and the flu is still worse.
The numbers dying are mostly made up.
Anyone who dies seems to be counted as Covid.
Italy has even admitted as much. Anyone there who had the virus and died of anything was counted as being killed by covid.

The entire thing is a shit show.
                          Why are doctors controlling us?
I thought at least Trump would have some balls, now he has just given in to the BS like everyone else.
Someone else is pulling the strings...I cannot understand why we are all acting this way.

The politicians in Canada are completely fucked.
The whole country is locked down over a handful of cases, it is sheer madness.
We should be building immunity, not cowering in our homes.

2 years sounds pessimistic to me. The epidemic seems to be stopped in China. (They just fear a second wave ) and under control in South Korea. Hopefully medications will follow and vaccines might come next year. The competition is sharp between vaccine labs. The "Institut Pasteur" is developing a prototype but it's a slow process. A new lab based in America is testing a new concept. They've already started tests on human beings (without tests on animals). We will see what happens then.

TAT in Thailand is already gearing up for an influx of Chinese tourists. I think it is the just the usual mindless talk they pump out. What is happening in the rest of the country, Phuket (which is now isolated from the mainland) and BKK, completely contradicts the TAT expectations.

Really nice to see that one or two of the Japanese owned factories laying off staff, have been keeping those laid off at 75 % of salary. Not sure if this is just middle management or whether it extends to factory floor
