Just returned from a 2-month vacation in Pattaya. Every year never fails to get better than the last. Thanks to you, Crag, this LINE chat is very helpful. I erred and bought a tourist SIM card from 7-11. It was from DTAC which is a RIPOFF. Luckily your suggested TRUE internet is also in the back of Central Festival with a coffee shop, and they were very helpful. Answered all my questions. DTAC doesn't to keep fooling you into putting in more money and never explaining what it is for or how long it lasts. So everyone be advised DTAC stinks.
Everyone needs to load on LINE chat app. I love this way of communicating. Most Katoeys cannot write English good so have to be patient. Some don't understand appointments for tomorrow. They like NOW. I love how the good ones shave and put on their makeup excellent for photos/videos. I always walk around and ask if I can take their pics with my cell phone. Then request their LINE phone number or name so I can send them the pics. From there I can make dates and exchange more pics. BTW, if they send pics of their hums they are fakes. Somebody else's photos from the Internet. Just google Thai sex videos. Have to laugh at the ones showing some schmuck's collection of girls peeing in a public restroom while a bag with a peephole is on the floor. I have no interest in that stuff. I always demand my guests turn off the cell phone and put them away. Otherwise it's out the door. Remember you are the guy with the money so you control the date. Have made some dates where I can avoid BF's by having them visit in the afternoon. Then I go swimming in the pool and sleep after a hot bath. So some days I do 2-3 dates a day/night.
BTW, I commented that the boys and girls seem to have disappeared from Beachwalk late at night. I was wrong. They come out later in mid-November. The B1000 streetwalking fine has no effect I'm happy to say. Only difference is they are on the inland side of the street sitting on the parked motor scooters. Same Katoeys from every year were there plus a few new ones. I think the dangerous ones are out neat Soi 6. They are tall and very athletic. Best to carry pepper spray, wooden blackjack, and a pocket knife. I prefer to look at them straight in the eyes and warn, "Ay brah. Don't you dare!" Yell at 'em.
I can see Lohas Suites Sukhumvit on Google maps. It is between Sois 2 and 4. Remember all even numbered sois are on the south side of Sukhumvit. So this means there is no soi 3 in between. To end my vacation I splurged at little and stayed at the brand new Novotel 4 Sukhumvit which is right next door to Phacahara Suites Hotel. What a grand ending. Carpeted and all the luxuries of JW Marriot. Costed me only US$105.00 a day. Only half of what JW charges and same luxuries. Opened only 2 months ago. Great breakfast buffets at B400. Your eggs any one of 5 ways. Since I had only 2 days I had to walk fast and shop at Pantip Plaza for these light-weight selfie tripods for only B450-500. Great for GoPro and cell phone cameras. Not for heavy DSLR's. Need a strong tripod for this. Platinum Fashion Mall is an incredible place to shop. So many sellers of clothes for men and women. I love the black Tshirts with tattoo-like drawings on the 4th floor. Returned on a Saturday night only to discover they close at 7 PM! Bought so much stuff Friday I had to rush a mailed them back late Friday evening. The PO closes at 7 PM. Talk about hurry shopping. Next day it was on to Jatujak just to see what was selling. You need more than a few days to see everything. A lot of things are ripoff prices. I think I got better deals on fake gold jewelry at the Bhuakow Tent Flea Market every Tuesday and Friday morning hours. Tshirts are okay if they are B200. B400 is a ripoff and if you continue walking around you can find exactly the same at B200.
A strange thing happened to my date when we tried to enter the Italian restaurant on Soi 13/1 and Beachwalk. Called Hops Brewhouse. Excellent food and sevice. BUT the front guard wouldn't allow my friend to enter. She was scared and I was angry. So we had to walk over to Pattaya Beer Garden. Another problem. The front guard told her to use the men's toilet instead. I guess there's no gay rights in Thailand or needs to happen. Why would Hops deny my friend? What if a group of TS Miss Universe contestants arrived for dinner? They going to deny them, too? Now I wonder if the Hilton has the same restrictions. I checked their front desk. US$250/day.
Get into any fights this year? Nah, almost did when a drunk white boy blocked my path into the Italian restaurant twice. Just a schmuck looking for trouble. Love giving Hawaiian punches to drunks. Very easy to beat. Makes me approve that Thai government and cops are cracking down on Visa frauds and overstays. We have the same problem in Hawaii only they are homeless bums who were given free plane tickets here by other States wanting to get rid of them. Nobody has accosted me to demanded to show my passport. I don't carry them around for obvious reasons. Only a photocopy of my USA passport and VISA stamp showing 2 months. BTW, do count the number of days you plan to stay. Once I was momentarily detained at Suvarnbhumi because I was there 61 days. One of the months had 31 days. Tricky error. Minor infraction and I count my days carefully.
Read there was trouble in Walking Street one night. PattayaOne.net wrote a big beefy Brit was angry at workers in McDonald's, went outside and demanded a scooter taxi driver take him somewhere. He refused and got beaten down. Then the cops came, and he wanted to beat them, too. I expected they would gang up on him, but no. They calmed him down and took him to the PD jail to cool off. Now that is nice of them to do so. In Hawaii, HPD loves to beef and use force. I've seen them in action. I have to say I am impressed with the PPD's conduct. Honorable. Just don't like how they can round up everybody in a bar and make them all do drug urine tests. Can't do that in the USA because of civil rights. Have to prove a probable cause for each and every one of them beforehand. But considering Thailand has a drug problem extreme measures are warranted. I can accept that. Nobody has ever suspected me of anything. I just dress neatly, stand up straight, and walk like I'm in control of my faculties. I'm not white, but Asian so I guess I blend in. I think the cops get very suspicious of blacks. Just like the USA and all over the world. Am seeing fewer Nigerian chicks. None on Bkk soi 4. Very few on Pattaya's Beachwalk. They are well-dressed and speak excellent English. Don't know if I would do a Nigerian ladyboy cuz I've never seen one. There is a black tall long-legged Thai Katoey in Mercury Bar on the second floor of Nana Plaza. She gets mad when I can't decide to BF her. One of these days when my prejudices loosen up. BTW the BF in Nana Obsessions is now a heavy B900. Fewer customers and the ones seated and drinking with the dancers are Japanese. They rich and ruin everything.
Will tell you more about my 2-month adventure, but just got back 2 days ago. Jet lag and lots of unpacking to do. Got to edit SD cards of sized 256, 126, and 64 GB's. I had no problems with US Customs because my declaration were under the $800 limit. Got lucky. Better to ship all your expensive stuff by Thai PO. A 10 kg box costs about $60 and takes 90 days to deliver. I mailed 2 boxes this way and both arrived in 90 days UNOPENED. Funny that its Christmas time. Lots of mailed boxes so can't open every one of them. Consider that to avoid Customs.
