  • Hotel question about president solitaire

I think several people here have now stayed here (Jon, Lotusman, etc). I stayed 2 nights in Jan. in one of the standard rooms. I liked it alot.

Has anyone been in the larger suites (the Solitaire or Platinum)? I was thinking of booking the Platinum, primarily for the "jacuzzi" tub. Is it worth it? Tub size large enough for 2? Also does the bathroom w/ the jacuzzi tub also have a separate shower stall? I love hotels that have separate shower stalls vs. the shower inside the bathtub.

Thanks for any info anyone can provide.

no fucking question that room is worth it; I paid 3400 there 2 seperate times and i never wanted to leave. Large rooms, a huge bed, 42 inch plasma TV, DVD, sound system, kitchen and yes, the jacuzzi. try one of the promotional travel companies you can get in a google search; enter the name president solitaire bangkok and you will get a few sites that will discount. booking through them directly is more.

best place i have ever stayed, anywhere. pay a few extra baht and pamper yourself.

I just spent half hour checking all the links i found that there web site appears to be the cheapest. On one web site it was over double the price the hotel were charging for the same dates....lol...

        JMan,

I booked the Platinum, but ended up with the Solitaire Suite. Didn't matter as the Solitaire was great, and I really didn't need the extra bedroom (one was fine). Like Jon say's, great room, and setup. Very guest friendly, no hassle's....

I was a big Solitaire fan...til I found them booked out...and I got a 1 br suite at Omni for about 2400 baht..after some negotiation.

The quality is better tha solitaire. Tv not as big but thats not a prob for me. Leather chairs and couches....big rooms....and better detailing than Solitaire

If you look close at Solitaire you will see paint spatters on the skirtings, the wooden floors are starting to lose support, there are big holes under the carpet in places that are just about man traps and the carpet is fucking up above them.....so my view is its a cheap cosmetic redo that will fade real quick....but not too bad now. But check out Omni as a comparison....my view is its better value.
