Geeze, with all this talk about hotels for $80 some odd dollars etc, and what a good deal they all are, I think either I am just small potatoes or reading a forum dominated by the elite upper class. I would no more pay $50-100 dollars, or even more for a Thailand hotel, than I would ever register as a Re(Me)publican or horror of horrors vote for a Mepublican.
For me, 1000 baht/night is the absolute maximum limit for lodging in LOS, and those who pay more, have more money than they have good sense, or else the reason they have the money to spend more may be due to them having better sense, in acquiring said monies.

Even with the Nana at 1000 a night, I can walk a very short distance down Soi 4 and stay in an equally nice room at the Swan Inn for 500 baht a night, or the place right across the street, the name of which escapes me at the moment, for 533 baht a night. 500 baht for 21 days is a savings of 10,500 baht and there is a lot that I can do there with an extra 10,500 in my pocket, thank you

They have a fairly restrictive guest policy, if you are checking in with someone and she will be with you all week then okay. But if you are butterfly man...find another hotel.

Money spent on expensive hotels is wasted !
All I want is a reasonably clean room, shower, quiet air-con that works, clean sheets and a firm bed on which to conduct activities with ladyboys. Oh I should add reasonable close to Nana when in Bkk.

The story on hotels is simple really. IMHO if you can afford 5 star go for it because Thailand has the most affordable 5 star hotels in the world period and as long as you are discreet and do not drive thru their hotel lobby a wilderbeast train of ladyboys then no charge at all, infact the receptionist gave me some orchids to give my gal !!!!!!!!!!!!! !

You cannot get 5 star hotel fees anywere cheaper in the world like Thailand ! Trust me I've stayed in 5 stars ALL over the World ( I'm not bragging OK). A typical 5 star in the Uk is at least 300 stering per night and that's either a week -end rate or just plain cheap. I have stayed in many of Thailands 5 for under $100/night because of all the special offers out there. Like I said it is the most affordable luxury in the world. Aside all the fun and frolics I like the pampering on holiday. That's why I work 14 hours a day for ! If I was staying a month or more I would probably not op for 5 star.

The cheaper hotels are great and excellent value(Asias good and Amari too) so all you have to decide is do you want a little affordable luxury or not before the lid hits the coffin ?

There's something just fine about fucking your ladyboy on a 4 poster bed or over the balcony looking out over Bkk. Get my drift ? And you get free fruit too to use as you please !!

Ok, here are also my 5 cents to this: I never had any troubles with bringing girls to my room - in LOS (of course it's different in Vietnam and Burma). Not since 1986. I stayed from "The Sukhothai" (the most beautiful for me!), the "Banyan Tree" (guess that's the one Bricky is refferring to when he says There's something just fine about fucking your ladyboy on a 4 poster bed or over the balcony looking out over Bkk" - and he is so right!!!) in almost every area and class in BKK , down to one of my favorites "The Surawong" hotel (still love the Patpong area - hopless romantic maybe?). No problems at all. I can imagine you may have troubles when you go to those fucking family resorts in Pukhet or Samui, but who the hell does this???

i just got back from bkk and stayed at the Prince hotel. it had very nice room, small but cozy. this is the type of hotel for us guys that just want a place for our luggage and to rest in. my room was a standard but it came with a queen size bed AND a twin. the staff was very nice and helpful, hell they even knew what room i was in anytime i walked in. there is a 100 baht guest fee and your guest does have to register at the front desk and the taxi drivers out front are assholes . but other than that i found the place very clean. its only 5 mins taxi ride from nana plaza or a 15 min walk since its a striaght shot to nana plaza. i was there for 5 days and never worried about my items being stolen since they do have a free safety deposit box too. all this can be yours for just 750 bahts including breakfast. were they ladyboy freindly? the staff was very nice to her but the asshole taxi drivers made comments about her. so if you want a hotel to just relax in than this is a good option. enjoy your next trip to bkk and remember that there is always a place for the amount you want to spend.
