Well travelling alone is totally different for a young girl that for a young man.
It could possibly be more dangerous for a girl to travel alone in some case I suppose.
Girls have the advantage of having men that will be interested in them an approach them.
Unless a man is outgoing, he may having trouble meeting people as much when travelling alone.
Of course when younger you can stay in hostels where it is easier to meet and mingle.
When you get old, travelling alone isn't as sociable. You can't usually stay in the hostels as you are much older than most.
Meeting people other places can be harder unless you travel with a tour.
Places like Thailand are very friendly but sometimes it is still lonely if you don't have someone of your own culture to share it with.
The one point from this article that seems to come out is don't wait around for other people to take action in your life.
Don't rely on other people to make your decisions for you, sometimes you just have to go off on your own.
