one thing i hate is discrimination against ladyboys. if you are reading this forum i am 100% sure you are not one of THOSE assholes and thank goodness; there are enough bigots in the world and we don't need any more.

here in Cebu and also in Manila it is evn worse than Thailand, if that's possible. I am very proud to walk down the street with ladyboys anywhere in the world, and here is no different, and i will be damned if i get all worked up and pissed off when i see these schmucks giving ladyboys the evil eye and making rude comments. last night as i took 4 beautiful and classy ladyboys to dinner it happened once again and one of them stood up to the dickless security guard making 100 pesos per day with his faggy little uniform on and i said 'good for you'. the girls here and in thailand are treated like 2nd clas citizens and that is just plain unfair; we all know that 99% of these girls are very nice people and deserve our respect and admiration, not being picked on.

I feel bad for Salma and her friends; they are all nice people and they are unfaily picked on just because they are living their lives the way they choose to; we should all applaud such courage.

I am a non-practicing Catholic [raised since birth to follow that nonsense] for a reason; they have one of the most hypocritical religion ever started! don't even get me started there.......if these people here are not tolerant of ladyboys they should end up in 'hell', were there such a place.

one note about this; in the book about Thai ladyboys that i read, the theory in Buddhism about ladyboys is that this is punishment for being bad in their past lives. they have come back as people who are neither man nor women and confused about their sexual being because they caused some type of problems in their past lives and this is their payback.

i am so proud of any Western guy who goes out with a ladyboy and does not mind the snickers...and I admire that many foreign people, as I have noticed, never look at people when they are walking, say in the mall or on the street...they will only look when they are called upon or what...it's amazing...

Not only do Western guys with ladyboys get stares, giggles, and snickers in the Philippines but Western guys with Filipino GENETIC GIRLS get stares, giggles, and snickers in the Philippines.
Take it from a guy who is in the know regarding Filipino culture - I was married to an Ilocana from 1986-1991. DO NOT GET INTO A ALTERCATIONS WITH FILIPINO MEN. They are tough, they are NOT cowards, and they will filet you with butterfly/balisong knives at the drop of a hat.
Unlike Western men, they have not yet served up their testicles on platters to Betty Friedan, Gloria Steinem, Hillary Clinton, et. al.
In other words, Filipino men are MACHO MEN and they pull no punches. I am NOT saying I approve of violent behavior on the part of any damned body - although I am sure there are a few people out there who would dearly love to twist my words out of context and paint me as approving of violence.

as i man that had a ladyboy gf from singapore and later one from kaula lumper i know all to well about the remarks and discrimination these people go thru. i spent months with both of them in their countries and seen first hand how they were MIStreated. both of them were very fem and passible in looks, acting, and speech. but that didn't stop people from making rude comments. i was never worried about about treating them as a woman in public. but they always had a fear of people reactions. this kind of discrimination does more mental damage to them than we will ever know. what is worst is that they do not only get it from the "straight" community but also the "gay" community. i was in bkk a few weeks back and was shocked at the way ladyboys were treated there. i have seen the way real women look at them with disgust and i believe with envy since many of them are by FAR more attractive then they are. i read in a news article recently that a ladyboy from china who had the srs was able to get her ID changed from male to female. she is now able to compete in the miss universe pagent if she wins a few titles in china. so if china is able to be that tolerant why can't the rest of the world. maybe if more guys treat them as people instead of curious sex objects more of them would have better self confidents. i have a lot of respect for someone that is willing to become someone that they need to be even if the rest of the world will treat them as "sinners" or the lowest part of society. this isn't a modern way of life but one that has ALWAYS been around and in every culture. they have been known as the 3rd sex and other names thru out history. so guys next time you are with a ladyboy in public show them that you don't give a damn about what other people are saying and give her the time of her life. because that is what she really wants from anyone is RESPECT.

Question for you Lisa: Now in Thailand the Thai guys might treat LBs poorly or snicker at them but a portion of them will certainly have sexual dalliances with them. they might not want to be seen in public with them (the Thai guys I am tlaking about) but they are WILLING to enjoy their delights. Is it like that in PI?? Do the "str8" guys have experiences with them? Just asking....
