so far only hotel food and it's all western stuff......maybe in Cebu i will be a bit more adventerous? and like stogie i sometimes get tired of Thai food, although I do like it for the most part. but it's still good to be away from 'pad thai' and noodle soup for a while. I will let you know if i try any local dishes.
there are a lot of vegetable soups here served with beef, pork and chicken and they are all delicious...the nice thing about Philippine food is it is not as spicy as it is in Thailand
oooooh im sorry salma my experiance with philipino food is. well pretty poor. alot of dishes are served warm not hot or cold and alot of food is burgers and shit.
sorry babe, you dont see philipino restaurants on the scale you see thai indian etc.
thats says it all did experiance a wonderfull cebu dish(forget the name) it was fish and raw but very nice
I was married to a Filipina and to me the food is great. Just don't eat the "balute" or however it is spelled. The main difference is Thai food is spicier, other than that, to me if you like Thai food you should like Filipino food.
