"Cut" is reaching epidemic proportions

the amount of girls  who  are telling me now that they will soon be cut is beginning to reach  heights that   one never would have imagined just 2 or 3 years ago when I seriously started  tracking ladyboy activity   here in Thailand. back then, it was pretty much a rare thing; maybe  1 or 2 out of 10 would  have it done, and some others would  jokingly talk about it but then state that they would never really do it.

 now it's quite the opposite.  many of the girls I know  are not only thinking about it, but actively saving away as much   cake as possible  so they can go down to Chonburi and  have it done.   this is no joke; at least 50% of the girls i talk to say that they want it 'someday' [read; when they can afford it or some sucker will pay for it].  another 20 or 30% have already done it, which leaves us guys that like lady'boys' only  with a very small percentage of girls who will actually keep their dicks for their whole lives.    If Cynic was right, Bam is the latest casualty, and I know Ponlien has already  been to Chonburi and is  scheduled for March.  2  of my favorite girls of all time, Aon and Chompoo, are also scheduled for the next 2 or 3 months to have it removed [Aon, my girlfriend for almost 2 years until we broke last month, was a big shocker for me; she has always denied that she wanted it done, probably just to appease me].

      Good luck to these girls that choose this type of  surgery.  I feel as though it's important that we support our friends if they decide  to do this, but man, i really can never get past thinking that this is a really bad  decision.  not to mention  the fact that most guys who like ladyboys lose interest in the girls once this is done.   but the girls don't care about this; they want to be 'ladies' and that is their choice.

I would all seem relative to your age, and the time you have been coming to, or spent in Thailand.

don't  take it personally when i say  'if the cynic is right' like i am doubting your words  or something;  just realize that i have been  moderating this board  for over 2 years and have   seen a lot of  'facts'  that have turned out to be total   bullshit.  so now   Bam is  cut and  you were the first to get the scoop, so congrats to you and thanks for  reporting that;  we all believe you.

but i dare say that i may  know  just as much as you do about the transgender scene  here in Thailand and  I am sure that   Mr.  Lonely  does as well.  i have  interviewed  about  300 of these people and a lot of them are post-ops;  if  you could hear the   sob stories that i have heard  and the complaiants of "i wish i had my dick back" or "I have no feeling now"   or   "i used to jack off to   gay videos and now i watch them and feel nothing",  you  may be as jaded as i am about the whole thing.

In the majority of cases, you are unfortunately quite correct. Having had a severe identity crisis prior to SRS post operative transgendereds tend to be quite unpredictable in their emotions, with massive "mood swings" Quite often resulting in drug and alcohol abuse. You will find many examples of this if you visit the post operative bars of the Kings Group in Patpong. You think I'm cynical! The vast majority of post operatives leave me for dead. When I say that, I'll qualify it somewhat. The majority of them around thirty or over. They are completely bitter, and cynical in the extreme. They feel as if they have been cheated out of life as we know it. The loss of their male genetalia, all be it, their choice, leaves them lacking in fulfillment.
Many reasons fuel the decision for SRS, mainly the desire to be feminine, "a complete lady" A very complex mental battle normally ensues; to loose my male identity or not? Another incentive is the financial aspect. Many of the "professional working girls" think that with the asset of a surgically manufactured vagina, their earnings will soar to great heights. As we all know, this is just simply not the case. You can spend hours telling them that their course of action just might be biased by the magical baht sign, but seldom has any effect on their ultimate decision.
Then you have the genuine transgendereds that will achieve a life long ambition of becoming a woman, and these are the ones that do not have post operative mental abberations.
There are a host of influences, such as "peer pressure" and even "the fashion" but I'm sure you don't want me to digress.
The life of the asian transgerder is not a happy one, from being teased mecilessly as a child, to being rejected by the bulk of society. Yes, ther ARE tollerated, but not to the extent that most westerners believe. The Cynic

I€™m just pissed of by the fact that it€™s so easy to do this step in Thailand. You feel like having the chop, make your appointment with the doctor and here we go! The bloody surgeons made an industry out of the insecurity and often puzzled minds of underaged transgendered people. Of course no regulation on that. If you live so long with them you should have recognized that a very high percentage of post-ops suffers from depressions (which starts already with overdosed and again uncontrolled hormone therapies), mental instability which in some cases even leads to suicides, or at least suicidal attempts. Jon told about what he heard from the post-ops he talked to, even you admitted it - so why the hell didn't you get my cynism, Mr. Cynic?
I lived in LOS for quite a while and know this country pretty well for nearly 20 years - and I've mainly been with tg's in that time. If you really care for transgendered (and maybe you recognize that I don€™t use the term transsexual) people than you should be more caring and use your broader and hopefully more experienced western horizon to advise some of the girls to look for psychological/clinical help. Well of course that costs money and of course they don€™t have it, but I thought you care for them, or do you just pay for a service???
A transsexual is a person in which the sex-related structures of the brain that define gender identity are exactly opposite the physical sex organs of the body. Put even more simply, a transsexual is a mind that is literally, physically, trapped in a body of the opposite sex. Transgenderism can refer to those who crossdress, those who are intersexed, those who live in the opposite societal role of their physical sex, those who play with gender expression for any purpose whatsoever, and of course for transsexuals as well. While the term was created to help unite very disparate individuals under a vague commonality of interest in gender, the primary function is social and political, and not clinical!
From my experience I have serious doubts that all the girls who do the final cut fit into the definition of transsexuality. Many are tg€™s and not 100% ts and that€™s the point. As ts is a clinical term a tg is someone in the middle, maybe on the way to become a ts, but also maybe not!
We all here on this forum heard the stories about girls who just do it because they think they€™ll get more customers, dream of finding a straight man/husband or just to become more a woman. None of this is true. Less customers go for post-ops, straight men go for gg€™s and they are the same person as before the operation €“ just without a dick!
To put it straight: If we€™re talking about clinical evidence of transsexualism, I 100% aggree and support any decision to have the operation. But we€™re talking about 3rd world countries and there is no bloody evidence at all if that€™s the case. There are no ngo groups and of course no governmental institutions for transsexuals in Thailand, which has the highest percentage of SRS in South-East Asia. Maybe we should think of this before we post our wise statements.
