No, I am not THAT jaded yet where I start telling you guys who to avoid and who are the most greedy of the bunch; I have a file in my head but I prefer to keep that to myself lest get castrated by some angry Kathoey some night.
what I mean is this;
If a girl you like ever mentions the word "Emporium" to you, get away from her immediatelly.
Other names you never want to hear mentioned; Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Versace, Bulgari, and any other name that basically ends in a vowel and comes out of Italy. what a ladyboy or lady wants to do here is seperate you from your cash while at the same time impressing her friends; "hey, sucker from the west took me to the Emporium and bought me some new Gucci boots; check them out; what an asshole he is". and she is right.
go shopping? why? hell, i don't even go shopping for myself! anyone that knows me knows that I wear the same uniform year-round; sandals, shorts and t-shirt. if i am REALLY getting dressed up i may wear a golf shirt instead, and damn it, when i am home i actually have to put on my converse all-stars sometimes and a pair of jeans because the temps dip too low. but go shopping? never.......walmart once a year is fine and even that gives me a headache.
the Emporium is for suckers and guys with more baht than brains. they let their ladyboy or lady talk them into going there and spending mad cash when they wouldn't even spend that money on themselves; that is just plain idiocy. if you feel as though you MUST take your date shopping, go to MBK or even Central department store. at least the prices are reasonable there, even if your date won't be as impressed; big shit, that is not your problem.
avoid brand names; the girls can find the knock-offs on Sukhimvit for 10% of the price of the emporium. spend your money on something better, like giving it to a poor family or someone who really needs it. a ladyboy showing off her brand new Versace shirt to her friends is NOT important.
