although i would like to speak more about the series and its future (yes, it actually has one!), i can say that a lot of the information listed above about her now bf paying for her operation among other things is untrue. nina's great...and a very talented designer and illustrator. very, very talented.

well, nina is one of ten nyc trans women featured in the series ( we will be adding a few more trans woman). the series itself will offer an uncensored and basically unprecedented look into the lives of each of the womens' lives, nina's included. by telling their stories, showing their daily lives, it will highlight many of the issues that american transsexuals face on a daily basis. in short, the project is a labor of love for all involved as each of us that took part in the making of "t" has been a part of the trans community for quite some time...myself included.

Great idea, and I think it's fantastic to see someone doing this kind of thing. I guess it's like once in a decade that someone really gives enough of a damn to produce a competent documentary.

Good luck on your project. I can understand that since you're from the NYC area you're concentrating on transgender people from the same location. Might I suggest you attempt to get a perspective that covers individuals from across the USA?

If you get a chance you might want to take a look at Transsexual board on theeroticreview. Yes, it's true that TER is a site dealing with escorts but in the Transsexual Discussion Forum you'll find some interesting topics that might add some additional depth to your project.
