Purely in the interests of research , I visited Cascades last night to find out more about Miss Cascade 2007. The date is as reported by TC, Dec. 29. Contest will start at 9:00 pm. The bar opens at 7:00 pm, with the usual girls dancing, a cabaret show starts at 8:00 pm. I think the Cascade staff will remain in the bar during the contest in an attempt to pick up some business from the audience, but other reports are they may be temporarily assigned to another bar.

I will try to attend, but I have an invitation to another party that night. Will take photos if I do and post them here. Last year's winner was very pretty, and in 2007 Nong Film won Miss Tiffany 2007 and Miss International Queen 2007.





For any guys attending, remember many of these contestants are not p4p girls, so keep that in mind when you talk with them!

Currently the plan is to move the LBs from Cascade to Carnival for 29 Dec, as with all things this is subject to change.

I was going to start a new thread today criticising  Cascades, but I will briefly hi-jack this one.   I think while Mr Grumpy is in UK, I'm taking over the role as Mr Deputy Grumpy.   But the last 2 nights I have left Cascades, feeling very put out by a couple of incidents.   I am a good customer there, but they couldnt care a toss (am I surprised? - no, not really).  And as most of my friends from this forum know, I put up with quite alot before exploding  

First night, in there with jaime24, sitting with my 'barfine for the night'.   Having a good time, while Mme    Lichy sits down (univited as usual) next to my mate.  I buy my girl a drink.....very sensibly (or maybe not!), Jaime doesnt for Lichy.

Jaime chats with me about 'alternative options' for his evening - and I notice that Fanta has been eyeing him up (to be her helping of young flesh for the night).   So I wave to Fanta to join us.    Well ....  Lichy launches into a tirade of screaming abuse at me  .. OK not for the first time   ... but recently she has stopped threatening to kill me, so I took that as a positive move  

I asked Lichy politely (well as politely as you ever can with that bitch) to leave us alone.   Unfortunately she carried on, from our seats, and later from the front of the stage.   When i called over the assistant mamasan (Bee) to complain - Bee just says ' Well, you know Lichy, what can we do?' ...  I have the answer to that question, unfortunately the owners of Cascades dont     .....It involves Lichy freelancing in Sukhumvit Road, but then she may be safer in captivity ...  

OK, Second Rant:    Go in there again last night  ...  with Ozzie.   Mainly for the purpose of barfining.   One of the assistant Mamasans (head service, or whatever, new to the bar I think) starts taking photos with a customer's camera - making no effort to suggest to customers in the row behind (us!)they might move away.  It is quite possible that Ozzie and i were not in the photos - but when we asked to see the photos (and complained that there is a NO PHOTO policy in Cascades) we were told ' oh, no problem' and then 'friend of Lichy' Nam who was sitting with the group starts mouthing off at us.

Well, Ozzie and I check binned immediately, and Ozzie complained very strongly (and calmly) to the main mamasan about this photo 'shoot'.   And I now know it was not an  isolated occasion - because a similar pic is in another thread on this forum with Dieter's camera (and there are other customers visible in that photo).

So, after some months of being weary about those who are paranoid about photos in bars ...  I'm now with you.

Nevertheless, my principles can be compromised ...,. I will be in Cascades on 29th for the Contest, and I have to admit that some of the talent in there is so hot at the moment that my cock keeps leading me back there

First issue, well that could happen in any bar really. What works best for me is to ignore them as much as possible. Don't look at them, don't respond to them, nothing (it is the same thing I do with touts). If they think they are getting to you or you are guardedly polite to them, that can just end up stoking the fire. I've even seen cases at KC3 where they demand a drink with the promise to stop pestering you and go away and some people do it! But gee is there anywhere else in the world outside some of these bars that mean spirited people are tolerated by a business that harass customers who are just minding their own business??? Ridiculous.

For the second issue, it seems the crux of the policy in gogo bars is no photos of the stage. There is some leeway to take photos of yourself and the girls in the seating, providing the girls are up for it. In patpong there is even a camera guy who trawls the gogo's taking polaroid photos for 100 baht, but his back is always to the stage and people surely do end up inadvertantly in his photos. Funny thing is there is actually a live web cam at a bar in patong beach. Talk about indiscrete! Just have to wonder about this:

Just remember that familiarity breeds contempt. If you are in one of those bars on any regular basis they all want a piece of you and your money. Of course they are friendly to you and then the hook!! Always be cautious of those looking to talk with you.....they are not your friends and they only want what you have.

I disagree...I think it's just the opposite...It's the infrequent visitor who is subject to getting their ass bit...I can go in and out of the bars and the girls hardly notice me...Of course, there may be other factors at work as well...
