Yeah,
That was me...I came and had a falling out with her 2 weeks after getting here. She got into a huge financial mess (large amount of baht) and when I wouldn't bail her out, she took off for some factory where she still works 120 hours a week. I hear from her about every 2 weeks. I asked her for a period time to work things out but she refuses to do things my way. Shame too, I adored this girl and the little boy is a wonderful kid. It was then that I met my current girlfriend and she has been wonderful and knows all about my ex and her problems.
As for the rest, I do live in Bangkok and do teach school here at an International school and life is very good.

A "normal" girl shows you what can happen in Thailand ie you adored her and her and little boy, made plans together, were a serious item, moved half way around the world to be near her....blah blah. Then when you get to Thailand, it lasted 2 weeks for money reasons ie you are not the ATM she thought you were.

Why is there anything to wake up too. I moved here after making numerous trips to Thailand over a 18 month period. I would come here for a month and go home for 2 months. I did this over and over and I always stayed with the girlfriend and the little boy. Then I moved here and the issue came up and she left. and that was it. I looked for her and tried to talk to her for a week but then said to hell with it and she was done. It was never a money situation to begin with. I never sent her her allowance as some do. If I sent her a couple thousand baht to buy a phone card with or to take the little boy somewhere, then it was minimal. How much do you spend on bargirls in a 18 month time? I bet a lot more than I spent on the old girlfriend. She NEVER said send me 10,000 baht. As far as her leaving, she claims she left because she was in debt and was ashamed to tell me prior to my coming to Thailand. Once I was here, the person she owes the money too knew I was in Thailand and said they wanted money then. We are not talking a million baht, more like 30,000 baht. She never said will you give me 30,000 baht or 20,000 baht or even 10,000 baht. She told me about the situation and that was it.

She calls me weekly usually or text messages me and will NEVER say she still owes money. She's in Bangkok up by the old airport at the shirt factory and would like to come back to me and apologizes over and over, but I always say no because I have a new girlfriend now. Even if I didn'thave the new one, there are too many in town that don't have money issues. The school where I work is 75% women, I don't need to cruise bars looking for love. In fact I haven't been in a bar in two months.

Anyway, So after she left , I dated 4 or 5 women and met the current one. Is she a ladyboy, yup and is she retired, she claims she is. Does she ask me for money, not a single baht. I do laugh though, before she and I decided to commit to a one on one relationship, she had guys paying her through the service she worked for anywhere from 6,000-10,000 baht for a session with her. I was shocked! She would come to me counting the money. She had one guy pay her 6,000 baht to take her picture, nothing more. But that was nearly 2 months ago.

She doesn't officially live with me. I spend weekends with her at her apartment and she's here with me in Bangkok 3-4 nights a week. But it's at her own discretion where she stays. I like that she stays here during the week, but if she goes home for a few days, so be it.

My current girlfriend who many know wasn't "sacked" from any job...haha. She has changed her appearance since quiting and threw away (I saw her destroy it) her SIM card because the service she worked for called everyday looking for her to work or she had past clients calling and she just decided she has had enough and walked away from the former life she had. She's tired of it and won't even discuss it any longer with me or anyone else. I never asked her to quit either, personally when I first met her I didn't care either way if she worked or didn't. I met her at the bar but even to this day, I never bar fined her. I bought her a few drinks one night but I actually left with Jenny because my girlfriend went with a former customer. The first time I went out with her though was away from the bar.

Money has never been an issue with us and she always had money with her and would often pay the taxi fares or pick up tabs when we went out to get something to eat. She always feels that it should be a 50/50 relationship when it comes to paying. Not a "Guy pays all" type of relationship. I've been out with ladyboys where I've spent 6,000 baht between the ladyboy show at the Calypso, drinks at clubs and so on. But I've never spent that on my current one. She wouldn't go to one of the shows anyway. She doesn't even drink and has laughed at the amount of baht guys have spent on drinks for her when in reality it was just plain old water.

I've seen her bank accounts, she has plenty of money so she doesn't need to work yet she does on a part time basis with one of her siblings doing another non-sex related profession. I've met the parents and the siblings, aunts and uncles and cousins and spend each weekend with them. What she's actually told them, I don't know and personally don't care. They adore her as they should and they seem to approve of me. They feed me and tend to me when I'm in town with her. My biggest expense is stopping at the market on the way to their home and buy a 100 baht worth of food as a gesture. I was raised that you don't go to someones house without bringing some sort of food with you.

So in short, there is nothing I have to wake up too. Why do you sound so angry that someone has found a great person to be with? I'm actually amused by your posting but I don't understand your reasons for being so hostile about the original comments I made. I have an awesome girlfriend who costs me less than any of my other girlfriends or wives (2) EVER did. She quit her job as a escort/bar girl to go do a regular job. It does happen! Does she lie to me, if she doesn't I don't know why she would, she gets nothing but affection from me and I would go along with her working if she still wanted to work. I probably wouldn't be the boyfriend like I am now, but would we be close, of course, she's my friend first, girlfriend second. Is this a sexual Disneyland, sure it is for some. I live down the street from Nana and have seen the poor souls standing out in front at 2am waiting for someone of their dreams to come along. Dreams are only 1000 baht ST/1500 LT. My dream is normally laying next to me in bed and shops for me and usually plans the weekends so that I have a great weekend. And I assure you, I never spend 1000 baht for her affection either. She's a spectacular person inside and out and I feel very fortunate to have her in my life.

Thanks, I just told it like it is.....from the HEART! As far as it lasting as long as I want it too. Like I told her last night while we were laying in bed. If we're together a month from now or 5 years from now, one things for sure, we'll always be friends. She and I both agree on this fact.

I'm working on her about Friday night too. Just like a woman, she changes her mind with each passing day, but I have my fingers crossed.
