that hotel is called the Residence Gardens hotel. it is a little far from walking street on the road to Jomtien, maybe 10 minutes by foot, but 2 or 3 minutes by baht bus. all rooms are suites and have a cool view of the hills behind there. the price i got was 1350baht, but only when booked through the freelancers bar website. they have some type of special cross-promotion with them, and many of the guests there hang at the freelancers bar [little did they know i was bringing 4 or 5 ladyboys per day there and shagging 2 of them LOL].

go to the Forum and there should be a banner at the top which flashes; click on that. you can write to ib directly at the place also; he is the finnish owner and very nice; set me up for 9 days at 1350 per night and it was very nice, and the staff never said a word to me about anything unless i asked first.

my suggestion, however........the pattaya centre on the beach road has bigger rooms for about the same price; 1295 gets you the junior suite and it is awesome. I stayed there with Bobo 2 weeks ago for 3 nights and it was great; huge bed, nice views, big, big room; equal to or better than the RG. do a google search and you will find it.

Good to have you back, i stayed at the residence b4, as you said its nice and there cool there. 1 problem though i just tried to book again and they want me to send them my card details to hold my room. I asked how i should send them i.e thru what secure server he emailed back saying send the card number on what email and the other details on another email. I basically said no so he said ok fax it in the same way. i said no again. He tells me they have to have my card details to hold a room, so ive just knocked it on the head. and will stay at my lovely Roof Garden Inn at the top of the road for 750baht a Nite. No pool, but when last did my ass use the pool???

Is this usual practice??? No secure server i mean? Just emailing card details over the net? Only 1 other hotel has tried that shit at that was some hut place in chaweng samui.....

Yes the Residence Garden is a nice hotel, but a little out of the way, although ok if you like a walk to where it happens.
Only you can decide whether its worth the 500 baht or so extra over the Soi7/8 medium range hotels like the Flippers.
