It's not only shameful...it's stupid...

I can think of many other ways to spend money to make you feel good about yourself
than sending it to someone who is laughing everytime they spend a baht you've sent to them...

It's "Up to me" how I spend MY money

I dont pretend it will last but my girl has been "OUT" of the bar "LONGER" than she was ever "IN" it since my return to 13 weeks ago and at the moment I "feel good"

I sponsor my GF if that's what you want to call it, but she wasn't a bargirl, I met her working in a restaurant in Pattaya. She had been there 3 weeks with her sister who is a GG, my gf hated Pattaya and everything that went with Pattaya too and when I left, she left with me and went home to Prasat and has been there ever since. I send her 4,000 baht a month and she's happy as a clam, but I go back to Thailand every 2 months for a month, so we are together all the time and as most know, I'm moving to Thailand in 3 weeks too.

We have been through the "I need a new cell phone" and the other bullshit Thai women try and pull, but I have always taken the advice from here and have used it and things have been good.

My GF owns her own house and has buffalo and pigs and likes living a simple life, but don't get me wrong either, she would love to go to America, but she doesn't care if we lived in Thailand or in America.

I have heard all the comments about Thai women and how I'm "Paying her" each month. I send her 4,000 baht ($120.00 US) and I figure that if she was here with me, I would spend that in a weekend here. She works around where she lives by raising the animals and doing the rice thing. She has never asked for me to increase the monthly amount and even though I send her a little bit extra sometimes, when I ask her to put money in the bank account in Thailand, she always does. In the year and a half I have been with her, I have never found money missing and I trust her with anything I have.

I have heard the horror stories from other posters but I consider myself lucky to have found such a sweetheart.

I get bored of one woman or ladyboy after three days (maximum) so regular sponsorship is completely off my radar, although sure I have sent 5-10k on a few occasions to those who have either persuaded me that they are in need or because I was feeling generous at the time of that particular sms, email or phone call
However, in my experience most of these long distance relationships involving a regular allowance end in once the sponsor establishes the true merits of the game he was invited to play.

I'm sorry Rick..I'm wrong...it's not stupid...It's a brilliant idea to send money to a girl in Thailand...to be her partron and sponsor...knowing that she is just using you...

And all the guys who have some on this foruim and confessed how stupid and how ashamed they are/were for sending money to a girl are all wrong...

I'm not telling you how to spend your money...and I have spent money foolishly too...but not after hearing dozens and dozens of warnings...

I don't blame you dave, and although it sounds like it,  I'm really not even judging you...to each his own...

I fall in love with them too...And I'll confess, when I'm in Thailand, I am very generous with the girls...

But I draw the line at sending money...My avatar asked for money...she sent me an sms with her real name and banking information...and I do like being with her a great deal...but I will not send her any money...and I replied with that message...

She's a bar girl...no matter how much money I would send to her, she is not going to leave the bar and her friends...

So I'll see her when I return on Sept 5th and I'll take very good care of her then...For a few days at a time...

And her reply to my refusal to send money..."I love you very mush.  i wiat you." Translation:  Well, I tried.  I'll see how much I can squeeze out of you when you return...
