but to answer the OP's question:
i have sponsored almost a hundred sweet and kind ladyboys, almost every single one of which i loved and most of whom loved me in return. of this i am certain. why would they lie?  

fortunately for me i never learned how to send money overseas so i have to repeatedly return to the LOS to renew my many many sponsorships which i endow through my private charitable trust on a nightly, if not hourly, basis.  

now if i could just get bill & melinda gates' foundation to supply 'matching funds' -- then i might be loved even by that small percentage of endowment recipients who insist that despite all my good work, i remain a cheap charlie!

When i have read this forum last years i have thought that lb only use farangs.  Cheat us all the time.  Only think how to take our money.

And it kind of makes sense for highly paid farangs to work for lowly paid Thais.  I figure my teerak makes about 1 USD an hour.

Some of that is easy work, sitting around doing nothing.  But some of it is hard work giving massages.

But she can support herself by living threee to a room and eating Pattaya pok pok and still have money left over to send back home.

Now I don't technically sponsor her in that I don't send money but I figure that  in a year I probbaly give her about what she makes working.  I give her money at the end of each trip.  

And I get the impression most of it gets sent home and the plan is for Mama to have a new house, albeit a very, very simple new home.  Where she lives now is also very very simple. Very few farangs would be willing to live in that standard of housing. Though if that's how you lived all your life, it's OK I guess.

Teerak does not spend much on herself, maybe a little on body lotion and things like that.

But I think it's not easy for a young ladyboy to be living in a village of small rice farmers where everyone knows everyone.

I think many ladyboys would prefer to be with a farang which brings financial security to them and their families.
I think they also like living in farang style comfort.  But in Thailand where lots of thais are around.  And Pattaya is great for them cause it's transplanted Issan Thais.

Now many shrewd Thai hookers have multiple sponsors, but I think many Thais are happy to have one good farang.

"Have farang" is a term she uses.  To me it doesn't imply rip off the farang, but that a farang will take care of them and they will take care of farang.

That's not a fair test. If she's had your love and your money from the start and now half of that arrangement is gone it's obvious that she'll go too!

People have to practical about who they fall in love with. You can be the nicest guy in the world but if you can't support her to a minimum comfortable lifestyle (and everyone is different about the threshhold of comfort that they consider to be acceptable) then you probably won't get a second glance.

If you 'test' her by taking the money away that just means that you've changed and have challenged her not to!

How about if she said - OK... To prove your love there will be no sex till I'm convinced that you really do love me!

How long is YOUR love gonna last! Not long, I'll bet.

This idea of testing your lovers and friends by withholding things like money (or sex) is just like saying - I no longer trust you and here's some hoops for you to jump through to regain my trust! I'm allowed to change but you are NOT!

No - the tests of a relationship are when there are problems like someone loses their job or there are genuine financial hardships or a member of the family dies, etc.
