You obviously have not been to Thailand then. Maybe the massage places around the tourist areas may offer sex but any reputable massage place would not. Why not go to a massage place for a massage and a hooker for sex?

I flew back to Bangkok on 28th December, and into the city centre for a meeting at one of the Bangkok€™s top hotels. The meeting ended much sooner than I expected and, with an hour and a half to pass before being driven back to the airport for a flight to Chang Mai, I thought I€™d have a massage in the hotel. Of course there are plenty of people that only want a certain type of legitimate massage but all the services are on the table (so to speak!) at 99.9% of so called 'reputable' massage joints.

Of course there is and anyone who's spent any reasonable amount of time travelling in Thailand would know how to elicit and procure these extras... and it's much the same in every city in the world and at every class level. The only thing to determine is how much you are willing to spend.

I remember the massage parlor next to the Trocadero Hotel. There were prominent signs posted inside each room that forbid any sexual activity and every time I went there I had sexual massage endings. When I asked about the signs, the women would answer that they were there to stop activity of people with whom they didn't feel comfortable.

Your argument assumes that 'legit' massage places are meant to be 'legit' massage places. then your car/Macdonalds analogy is OK.

I would argue that the vast majority of massage places weer openly created to be sex service providers, just with a different badge on the front.

I go to massage places for massage AND sex, and often don't bother with the massage bit. If I think it is a reputable place, I steer clear!

Well when I say legit or reputable that is exactly what I mean so I am not actually assuming anything. In other words somewhere that does not give extras.

I personally do not understand why someone would bother going to a masseuse for sex but hey each to his own. Of course I have done it my very early days but to be honest I would much prefer to grab a hot ladyboy from Nana to fulfill my sexual desires.

The term "massage" has virtually become synonymous with "sex".

Even the so called reputable venues seem to offer extras of some description if not actually providing penetrative sex.  
Some are more discreet about it than others.

I don't have an issue with "extras" being made available however my concern is that many of the operators or providers offering the more sensual or sexual style of massage seem incapable of providing a professional, quality massage.

I agree in principle that if I want sex, I won't be heading to a venue advertising Traditional Thai or Oil massage, however, I wouldn't object to some oral or hand relief after the massage has been completed.

Depending on the girl and the setup of the massage place, "happy endings" are often possible.

But not always.

On premises sex does not directly benefit the owner although if the girls are making good tips from sexual activity then the owner can pay them less I suppose. On the other hand the owner can get in trouble if the girl is caught.

I know of at least one place where the girls can get fired for giving extras and the lack of privacy makes it very difficult.
