Just recently I have been noticing the impact of our members on the ladyboy scene.
Oh, it's always been around in isolated instances and somethings have been learned, forgotton and wasted through this forum, but yesterday a few things fell into place.
Last night, mostly as a result of chance, a few of us were in town at the same time. It wasn't really planned and there were even a couple of additions that showed up unexpectedly. All in all our number approached double figures and we ate, drank and whored our way around Nana and of course The Guess Bar.
We came from many different countries (I think 5 in all) and certainly we came from totally different backgrounds.
Everyone gets on together and there's no macho posturing or one-up-manship. A few fellows with a common aim... to be in the best places that support our naughty habits!
During the evening we teamed up to eat, or go to different bars promising to meet up later at various rendezvous around town and for the most part we did.
That in itself makes for a pretty good force.
Luckily for us The Guess Bar listens to us and moulds itself on what we want as customers and not how they are gonna rip us off. They even turn down the music when we ask them to. (This is actually a very important and significant effect of 'The Force.')
The effect of 'The Force' also manifests itself on the way the girls behave now. There's no place to hide anymore because they know damn well that if any of them get out of line they'll be plastered all over this forum (and maybe other forums as well.)
It's difficult to ignore us too. There maybe plenty of newbies out there, ready to rip off and spit out again, but these tourists usually roam around as loners and are hard to find. The smarter lbs out there would rather be welcomed into the fold of 'The Force' and don't want to do anything that's going to provoke us too much.
This family of ladyboys and forum members would not have been possible up until quite recently. The internet and the larger amount of members living here and the increase in frequency of visitors has created a large and far reaching network.
It helps that the ladyboys know that their moves are closely monitored. They know that one false move results in a blaze of bad press and we all have their photos on our cell phones, etc.
It also helps that the barter of sexual favors and cash seems to be equitable and fair between The Force and the ladyboys. It's not too often that a forum member will be talked about for being cheap, mental or too demanding. (We'd hear about it if we were!)
Basically The Force is comprised of plenty of intelligent, rational and well heeled NORMAL people. People of a certain age that don't get into fights, or create trouble or lose control of their feelings etc.
Of course there are exceptions and we know who we are and what our weaknesses are. But as a whole the socialness of this forum is an increasingly powerful tool that we can use to make our visits here more pleasurable and safer.
I'm not arrogant enough to say that we'll always get our own way or that people should bow down before us and proffer gifts when we march about town plundering this land of plenty... (although that would be nice, eh lads?)
But in my experience, this forum and it's members have impacted the ladyboy scene in the whole of Thailand and only for the better. Maybe I'm wrong but I seriously doubt that The Guess Bar would have even come about if it hadn't been for the constant online pleading for something to compete with the shit-pits.
I'll wager that a lot more of us would have been relieved of our valuables and been otherwise taken advantage of if the internet and this forum and it's 'whispering grass' hadn't somehow made it back to the ladyboys who work in the bars here.
And the future looks good, too.
I belive that The Guess Bar model will be copied throughout Thailand. It's focus on what we want and how to take care of it's punters will filter through to other bars and new clubs in the future.
Already The Guess Bar is the talk of all the other bars. You can hear it by talking to the jealous mamasans and by looking around at the empty rows of seats. A new bar opened in Pattaya who's whole premise was to be "like The Guess Bar." Other bar owners are aware of The Guess Bar and of forums like ours. They'll be slow in making the changes and they will lose out.
New bars will come along and the shitpits will slowly fizzle out as they suddenly realize that guys don't drink like they used to. At least not in Bangkok they don't. It used to be that ALL men drank, got drunk then got laid. Last night I don't think even half of us were drinking alcohol.
Guess Bar is the only bar in Bangkok (ladyboy or gg) that puts nuts out on every table where there is a customer... That's very important and significant. Nuts aren't free so why do they do it?
Anyway - the world is getting better folks and I've had my say for today!
